We would highly recommend. We have a large double room with balcony overlooking the park across the river. The whole place is nicely decorated. The owner Mr Lin is very helpful even before we arrive. We were surprised with a tasty, sumptuous breakfast with soft music playing. On other days, there was Taiwanese style breakfast, bread, fruit. The location is convenient and about 10 minutes of walk from the railway station. The bed is very comfortable and big. The in-house elevator (new and quiet) did surprise me, the balcony did provide us a spacious place to have a beer. Thanks also to the owner for trusting us on using his house especially the public areas freely and borrowing his books (ample of interesting books like a small library) for reading pleasure. the room is also spacious which allowed us to watch tv with much relaxation. just a 10 minutes walk we found those food venues with convenience. the environment is quiet without disturbance from traffic. also just a 15 minutes walk to Hualien train station. we received the kind ride from the owner to the train station on our departure. Weber, the host, was most welcoming and helpful.
