The two things i wouldn't give 5 stars are, the carpet on 7th floors (where we stayed) smells burns and terrible. We had to hold the breath and walked by quickly. Not smelly on the 8th floor tho..where my other family stayed. The second thing was their breakfast are ok, not wow like a 5 stars. Highlights include: free shuttle from the train station (they met us at the train station exit with a sign so it was easy to find), delicious breakfast buffet, concierge to schedule tours (they reserved a half day tour of Taroko for us and it was an amazing tour too), Game Center for the kids, indoor and outdoor pools, huge rooms, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. A few stand outs include Bob, Vic and Jill - thank you!! We were at the hotel during the April 2024 earthquake. The hotel staff took incredible measures to ensure we were safe even though we were all experiencing the same frightening earthquake. Rooms are newly remodeled and felt super clean. Shower had good pressure. No icky mold showing like other hotels we stayed in that were rated 4 stars and above. Room, halls and lobby had a clean smell. Very fun for families since they have a Game Center. It was super cheap for the passes which last your whole stay. Pool is good but could use some remodeling.
