The Ferry Inn is a combination hotel/pub with breakfast included on our booking. We ate dinner both nights in the pub restaurant. The food was good & they had several choices for each course. The location was excellent for the Scrabaster/Stromness ferry & it was easy to navigate to Kirkwall & all the sights.

Nice room on top floor; unfortunately no lift. Good facilities except no bath. Breakfast was included and this was hearty and served with a smile. Food was high quality. There was nowhere to dine in the evening and eating out options in Stromness are limited so we’d recommend booking meals before you start your stay. There was nowhere to park at the hotel but we found a free long stay car park above the hotel - though the path was treacherous in wet weather. This must be a great place to stay if you need the ferry but otherwise I’d recommend staying more centrally in Kirkwall.

"A comfortable , enjoyable stay, friendly helpful staff. Please put a sign for the hotel on the end wall facing car park. Arriving tired off 11pm ferry and following SATNAV to car park it was a problem finding the front door."
