"Absolutely awful hotel Smelly rooms, toilets and showers need a good scrub and bleach t Towels dirty and small! Beds not comfortable at all! Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in Party of 6 using 3 rooms! All agreed we would not recommend!"

"The hotel itself is very clean and very well kept, the rooms are a lovely design and level of spaciousness. However, our room we did find one chair to be rather dirty, the duvet to be far too thin so we were cold all night and the hot water to only be lukewarm so it wasn’t a pleasant showering experience."

"Very basic and everything had to be done by texting couldn’t speak to a real person Spent a long time trying to get entrance to the building. I had to get another guest to do it for me. Many people were in the same situation."

Best Western Princes Marine Hotel

"We arrived earlier than we thought and the staff were very helpful and allowed us an early check-in. Later on in the evening we had an issue trying to gain access to the room but the card key wouldn't work, we reported the issue and initially the card was recharged but after trying the recharged key card there was no luck gaining access. We reported the issue to the receptionist and she tried recalibration of the door lock using the computer software but unfortunately that didn't work. We were sat in the little waiting area outside our room whilst she went off to try and contact the various agencies to come and sort the issue. After a period of time I went to find out whether she was having any success as I was in a lot of pain and needed to get to my medication which was locked in our room, I could see she was concerned so she contacted the main man who was just about to go to bed, he came out and after the initial effort to gain access told the receptionist to move us to another room which she did whilst he tried to sort out the door. In the early hours we got a knock on the door and I got my medication from the boss. Unfortunately, he had to damage the door to gain access. When we went for breakfast we saw the receptionist and I thanked her for her help. Whilst in the restaurant the boss came and apologised but to be fair it was a mechanical error not human and he gave us a free breakfast. Thank you for your professional approach to the situation. I definitely recommend"

Harbour Hotel Brighton

"Stayed at Harbour Hotel Brighton for my partner’s 30th birthday and honestly left disappointed. We arranged for a bottle of champagne and strawberries to be waiting in the room on arrival. Instead, we were delivered a warm bottle of Prosecco and told the champagne would arrive the next day. Despite mentioning it multiple times throughout the stay, it never appeared. The biggest issue though was the condition of the rooms. The first room was dirty, tired, and poorly maintained. Stains throughout the carpets, marks on furniture, rusty shower fittings, dirty skirting boards, grimy areas around the bathroom, and general lack of upkeep. We were moved to another room, but even that had stains all over the carpet and still felt worn out and neglected. To make matters worse, we received no housekeeping service until we specifically asked for it. The spa experience was mixed. My partner’s facial was apparently lovely, and the staff themselves were polite whenever we spoke to them, but the spa area also looked tired and poorly maintained. I also came out in a rash after using the hot tub, which made me question whether the chemical balance was being properly monitored. Despite booking a £100 treatment, there was still an extra £10 charge just to use the spa facilities, which felt a bit cheap for a hotel positioning itself as four-star luxury. This doesn’t seem like bad luck either — after looking through Google reviews, there are plenty of photos showing very similar room conditions."

"Great stay at The Grand in Brighton. Nice large room with ac which was very welcome in the 30 degree heat! The Spa was beautiful and very relaxing. Location was perfect for exploring Brighton. I would definitely stay there again."
