"No AC and windows would not open more than 2 inches. Dusty fan provided in room. Difficult to sleep in 30c weather. I know it is an old hotel but given the warmer summers they need to think about this for the future. Would be a 5 out of 5 probably 11 months of the year."

"Nice room with its on air con unit, which was really appreciated as some units you find in the likes of premier inn don’t cope well in this heat. Friendly staff who are happy to help. Location is superb and it has plenty of parking. There are also intermediate exits/entrances so that you don’t need to lug around with your suitcases. Couple of downsides, the placement of the toilet in the bathroom is such that you struggle to sit straight as there was no room for my left leg. I am sure even a child would struggle to fit their leg in between the wall and the toilet and to make matters worse the toilet holder digs into your. Another thing that irritated me was the discretionary tipping when you order food, I missed this when ordering food the first night and accidentally ended up tipping. I don’t mind providing tips but would like to be asked first especially when it’s not mandatory and the service provided was ordinary at best. Their excuse to this was that it is mentioned in the menu in small print and that they assume the customers have already read and agreed to it. Finally, when checking in I had to wait 10/15 mins to be seen by someone. Considering how busy and big the hotel is I did not think 1 person at the desk was sufficient as there were others in the staff room behind. Overall, although it may sound like a negative review, I had a very pleasant stay, the food was brilliant and I’ll definitely consider this hotel again for future stays."

"The check-in staff was terrific. He was cheerful, explained how to get to different areas, made suggestions, was efficient. Our room was clean but smelled very musty. The bed is very comfortable. Good luck figuring out the elevator buttons on where you need to go. It’s very confusing and not well marked. It’s the strangest room numbering system ever. Ex. Room 2302 is on the third floor. When reaching the 3rd floor, you pass aisles of rooms marked 4300, next aisle 3300, then 2300, then 1300 all on the same floor. Soooo odd. For a quick overnight , it’s worth it not to leave the airport."
