Question 11

When is the best time to go to Waikiki?

Accepted Answer

The best time to visit Waikiki is during the shoulder seasons, specifically April to early June and September to November, when you'll find a good balance of pleasant weather and fewer crowds.

These periods offer consistently warm temperatures, typically in the high 20s Celsius, with less chance of the heavy rainfall sometimes experienced during the winter months. The ocean is warm and inviting for swimming and water sports, and the generally sunny skies are superb for exploring the island.

For those looking for a quieter experience, avoiding the peak holiday periods of summer (July-August) and Christmas/New Year can lead to a more relaxed trip. You'll find popular attractions and restaurants less busy, and it can be easier to secure reservations for sought-after experiences.

Families travelling with children might find the summer months convenient due to school holidays, but should be prepared for higher prices and more people.
