Hi these gems are very rare, the people are incredible, the food is amazing you feel incredibly special, and nothing is too much trouble. A highlight of our trip to Japan.

Excellent hotel in a great location. Rooms were large, staff were super friendly. We got off the Shinkansen and it was about 2 mins walk to the hotel which was brilliant. Lovely roof top bar, didn’t have the breakfast.

Really nice hotel close to the station and the Maroot shopping building. Rooms were clean and I particularly liked the shower/bath room. Like quite a few Japanese hotels, the shower and bath (while in the same room) are separate. That means while you shower the bath can be filling up. It gives you the Japanese option of washing yourself clean in the shower and then getting into a hot bath to relax straight away. Breakfast was also great - unlike most hotels, someone takes you to your table first...

Slightly old world hotel with old fashioned decor but that's quite nice from the usual modern hotels. The onsen was good. Sauna was excellent too, especially having a TV to watch while sweating away. Breakfast was good too. It's great that the staff are attentive at breakfast but almost too much, hovering around and almost getting in the way. My only small request is that Japanese hotels all seem to say breakfast served 0700h to 1000h for example but actually start to close down 30 min or so...

Lovely hotel, very friendly staff. Great location!

Good location. Friendly and helpful staff. Onsen was a good size, mens section had a window to a small garden. Free bar at night was great. The rooms have limited storage for your clothes

Great location for transport, shopping and eating. Friendly and pleasant staff. Onsen grea after a day of sightseeing

I had a great stay for four nights at Dormy Inn Kanazawa (my fourth dormy inn during this trip) and had a fabulous time. The staff and service were great, friendly, and efficient. The facilities were good - the rotemburo on the 14th floor was very good as was the water. It’s very convenient for the station where there are many dining options as well as nearby alternative dining options. Local food is amazing. To go sightseeing into centre town one needs to take the bus (walk to Omachi market is...

Great location 5 mins walk across the road from Toyama station. Had a twin room and the single beds were slightly bigger than standard size. Nice PJs were provided and amenities were provided in the room. No bottled water, but they did provide a water jug and ice bucket in the room and there was a little room with a water (and ice) machine on every floor. Onsen - clean and with good lockers - hot and cold pools available. Also nice basket in the room which was very useful for taking your things...

Beautiful decoration and clean rooms. Good location very close to train station.

Great location and very helpful staff. Rooms very good and amenities were excellent

Went with the kids. The hotel offers some classes for us to learn skiing or snowboarding. Stayed couple nights. Great experience. Would go to the same hotel if we ever go to Arai.

Centrally located, easily accessible by tram - nearby shops, including a mall with various food options. Decent breakfast provided, along with a free bar between 5-9pm. Twin room was a decent size. Various pillow options. Had a great view of the castle. Quiet.

The hotel is just a short walk from the station on the other side of the river. If you are unable to work, as we were due to an injury to my wife's knee, there were always taxis to take you wherever you wanted to go. This is a luxury hotel and the standard matches that. Staff always very welcoming and helpful, and offered my wife a wheel chair for use in the hotel if she needed it. I would have no hesitation in going back to the hotel again. Also of note is that this hotel is an evacuation...
