"I was not expecting a code-style reception at "A Flemish Tale. To me, an in-person reception check-in is essential for a traveler overseas like me. Thankfully, I was waiting downstairs at least 2 hours before my "check-in time" at 3:00 p.m., so that I was able to meet, totally by chance, the lady in charge at the entrance. But for this, I would not have been able to get my access code. Imagine how scary it was! "

The location is great, in a neighborhood with good restaurants and shops, but an easy walk to the square/tourist areas. We enjoyed the downstairs "honor bar", very convenient. Only a few call outs, the communication pre-check in could have been better. We were waiting the day of to learn of the check in instructions which were finally relayed in the afternoon over...

"Das Zimmer war größer als erwartet. Alles gut ausgestattet und sauber. Das Frühstücksbüffet war perfekt. Brot, Brötchen, süße Teilchen, Wurst, Käse, Marmelade, Rührei, Speck, Gekochtes Ei, Obst, Müsli, Joghurt, Kaffee, Tee und Saft. Das Personal war von herzen sehr freundlich - keine gespielte Freundlichkeit :) - Das Haus und die Umgebung waren traumhaft schön. "We were in Room 1 on the backside of the house. Great location in a great neighborhood, just minutes walk from the center of the city. Nice little courtyard - would have been great if the weather was better! Inside was interesting and unique decor, yet very spacious and comfortable. Parking was a bit difficult to figure out where we could park overnight for a reasonable cost (i.e. the orange zone) - wasn't too far away, but took me quite a while to figure out where it was."

"Ich möchte die Bewertung aufteilen. Zuerst die Unterkunft: Zweckmäßig eingerichtet, liebevoll dekoriert, die Küche war erstaunlich gut ausgestattet. Zweite Küche im Gartenhaus war auch top. Alles, was wir brauchten, haben wir vorgefunden und wenn was unklar war, immer sehr gute Kommunikation. Die Anlage an sich hat ihre Besten Jahre hinter sich, trotzdem haben wir uns wohlgefühlt.
