Just need to get a room with no windows to block out all the noise from the convenient Bui Vien Street. If you have higher expectations, then you need to book at a name brand western hotel chain. He wanted to keep it for 12 hours. He stated that he needed to our passports to police station and make copies, and will return to us 12 hours later. I thought that was really strange. He says he couldn't take copies, he needed the original passports. I could Not allow anyone to take away my passport and promises to return it?! I got really worried. Was he trying to pull a scam on me? He is a 60 year old looking man, I think he is the owner of this hotel. I say to anyone, don't allow anyone to take your passports away when traveling, even government officials. They don't have right to take away your passports. So, I ended up going outside to make copies of my passports and giving it to the receptionist / owner. He then changed his story to, he will now accept copies of my passport. I did stay at this hotel for the week, I didn't think this owner would give me a refund, if I canceled. 2nd, the Air conditioner button did not work. I had to press and hold for two minutes to turn on and off. I didnt like that there was no room service. No one ever brought me fresh towels or took out my garbage. I really did not like that my refrigerator was broken the entire time i was there (even though I inquired about it 3 times). The room was much much smaller than advertised and the tv was about the size advertised. The location is great, but if you are a soft sleeper, it is impossible to sleep during the noise at night time. I was supposed to stay for a week, but I left two days early because I couldnt take it anymore.
