Jungle Lux Cabin - Private Retreat w/ AC & WiFi

"We absolutely loved our stay here. It’s peaceful, private, and truly feels like an off‑grid escape in the best way. The natural‑resource power setup worked beautifully — the A/C kept the space cool, and the hot water in the shower was perfect every time. One big tip for future guests: follow the host’s directions exactly. Do NOT rely on GPS the way we did on our first drive in. The road the host recommends is paved and easy. The parallel road the GPS tried to send us down was not paved and made for a very rough, bumpy ride. We learned quickly and didn’t make that mistake twice. The only thing we wished for was a few more bathroom towels for showering, but everything else was wonderful. If you’re looking for privacy, quiet, and a unique off‑grid experience, this place is perfect. The host was kind and helpful every step. The place was clean. Would definitely stay here again!"

'big Island Paradise' Hawaiian Retreat w/ Patio!

"Our plane was delayed so we arrived at 11pm and with it being so dark we couldn't find the home. We sent a message and he was quick to respond and help us. We loved staying at this cute, clean retreat. The foliage that surrounded the property made it very private and we loved the lanai and ate most of our meals there. Everything you could need was available, the only things I could even think of adding would be a broom and a laundry basket. Very clean and comfortable for the 4 of us. Will definitely keep this place in mind next time we are in Hawaii."

"I recently spent five nights here (mid July) while solo hiking Volcanoes National Park (30 minutes away) and exploring the Hilo area. I would totally stay here again by myself or with my significant other.This was a beautiful and fun compliment to spending all day outside - being screened in and protected from the rain, but otherwise immersed in outdoor Hawaii. The garden is beautiful, and the property felt very private and safe to me. The outdoor shower was nice and hot - perfect after a long day of hiking.I would recommend you bring sandals (the kitchen and bathroom floors are hard on bare feet) and a pair of ear plugs just in case the coqui frogs get too loud (that only happened to me one night).All in all, I think this place is a gem for anyone that considers themselves outdoorsy."
