Top Hilo Coffee Mill Hotel Reviews

Private guest house on gorgeous 3 acre Hawaiian estate perfect central location.

10/10 Excellent

"Exceptional! A wonderful, clean place to stay in a great location with friendly hosts and fresh eggs! We loved getting away from touristy crowds :)"

Spacious one-bedroom Hawaiiana. Visit Volcano!

8/10 Good

"Very nice rental. The drawback is there is no air conditioning. There were a couple of stand fans and table fans. We did clean the stand fans and one of the table fans. You also have a gate lock to deal with each time you go in and out. Not all windows had screens nor the doors. However if you don’t mind the humidity and heat in the rental, it’s a great place. I did not even think to ask about a/c so I take full responsibility for that. The owner was responsive to messages. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was adequate. Tv in living area only."

Lemon Tree Lanai

10/10 Excellent

"Lemon Tree Lanai is an excellent place for vacationers who want a real Hawai'i rain forest experience without a lot of hype and "club-med" type extras. It's a bit rustic, but clean, with beautiful flowery grounds. comfortable and convenient. The lucky geckos are a plus, visiting every evening to take care of any bugs on the lanai that might have slipped in the screen. The host is excellent, very friendly and helpful although you won't see him much after checking in. The check in process was a little complicated because the actual address is not yet picked up by GPS, which might have changed by now. So, the host texted us immediately with both old and new address to explain just how to get there. That's fine as long as you record that information right when you get it (we did not), because contact with the agency might be sketchy."

Large Home w/ 2 covered Pickleball Courts near Volcano National Park sleeps 16

10/10 Excellent

"My family of 9 had a great three days!Everything was as advertised. While we didn’t have a lot of time for pickleball we did play and the courts were great!!Loved this house!"

'big Island Paradise' Hawaiian Retreat w/ Patio!

10/10 Excellent

"Our plane was delayed so we arrived at 11pm and with it being so dark we couldn't find the home. We sent a message and he was quick to respond and help us. We loved staying at this cute, clean retreat. The foliage that surrounded the property made it very private and we loved the lanai and ate most of our meals there. Everything you could need was available, the only things I could even think of adding would be a broom and a laundry basket. Very clean and comfortable for the 4 of us. Will definitely keep this place in mind next time we are in Hawaii."

Convenient comfortable studio in peaceful tropical forest G7

10/10 Excellent

"Think of it as luxury camping and you'll be happy. If your idea of comfort is umbrella drinks by the pool, you will not. Personally, I loved it. But it's not for everyone. This is a rustic cabin in the jungle. 4.5 miles off the main road, 2.2 miles of it is dirt (well maintained, regular cars not a problem). 15 minute drive to nearest civilization (the part of the description being in the middle of a historic town is inaccurate - it's 7 miles outside a historic town). There are 4 walls, roof (corrugated plastic), lockable door, comfortable bed, private bathroom with hot water. Cleanliness on the level of a well-kept public campground. WIFI and cell service. Electricity to keep your devices charged. Being what it is, the room gets hot when it's sunny. Chilly at night (they thoughtfully provide 2 blankets on the bed, which during the day make no sense - at night they do). When it rains the roof is LOUD. Every night the coqui frogs are LOUD, and they go all night. You are immersed in nature, but sheltered from it better than in a tent. If this excites you, you'll love it. If it doesn't, this is not for you. The value for the money is exceptional - some bare camp sites charge more. Highly recommended for those who enjoy camping and want authentic big island experience with better-than-tent comfort."
