Alde Zaharra is a charming labyrinth of narrow, pedestrian-friendly streets, lined with traditional Basque architecture. It's an ideal base for exploring the city on foot.

Couples will find Alde Zaharra particularly appealing. The romantic atmosphere of the old streets, the abundance of excellent dining options, and the ease of strolling hand-in-hand to explore the city's sights make it a superb choice for a memorable getaway.

For those seeking a slightly quieter, yet still very central, experience, the area around the Ensanche district, just south of Alde Zaharra, is a good option.
