Much of the accommodation is on the ground floor, with a useful hallway/boot room at the entrance. To the left is the beautiful open-plan living, kitchen and dining space. The dining table seats all guests and the sitting room area is centred around a cosy and inviting wood burning stove. The added luxury of underfloor heating throughout the ground floor makes The Garden Barn a welcoming retreat in all seasons. From the modern and well-equipped kitchen, a beautifully crafted oak staircase leads up to the galleried landing area with feature glazed floor box, exposed beams and bedroom two with a 4'6 double bed. Guests using this bedroom have use of the ground floor family shower room. From the entrance hallway the staircase leads up to bedroom one with its 6' king-size bed and en-suite shower room, again bursting with character with exposed timbers throughout. Outside in the delightful grounds, guests are invited to enjoy the maze and enclosed lavender garden, with its exquisite aroma, the perfect spot to watch the sun go down. Situated on the outer edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park and close to the Wye Valley, The Garden Barn provides the perfect base for walking and exploring the very best of Herefordshire. The market towns of Hay-on-Wye, Leominster, Hereford and Ross-on-Wye are all just a short drive from the property. Additional Information: This property can also be booked with use of two ground floor bedrooms, sleeping up to eight guests. Click here for details. The Garden Barn for four guests will not have access to the ground floor bedrooms. However, if a ground floor bedroom is required, the owner is happy to accommodate this on prior request, subject to a maximum of four guests. Please speak to a member of our bookings team. One well-behaved dog welcome (small additional charge). Please be aware, the gardens are not fenced/enclosed for dogs. Children and infants welcome. Travel cot, highchair and stairgate available on request. The bedding is non-feather. Steeped in history and boasting character and features throughout. Exclusive use of maze and lavender garden. The owners reside at Wellbrook Manor and there is a shared right of way including footpath and owners grounds. Access to the property from the parking area is via two shallow steps. The stairs lead directly from the kitchen to bedroom two, sorry no stairgate for this staircase.
