I’ve gone past this hotel so many times over the years when I was seeing someone who lived in caister. She always put me off going there I’m so glad we split up and I didn’t listen to her and stayed here Lovely hotel. Very clean. Staff really friendly and helpful The pool, steam room etc was really good and clean A great breakfast with really great staff 10 out of ten and I will go back Thank you

Rooms are on 2 different levels so very quiet. We stayed in room 2 which was lovely, with tea & coffee etc and very welcome biscuits. No need to bring shower products as they are all provided. Breakfast was excellent with a choice of items (ordered the night before). The fruit salad was fab & I can highly recommend the omelette! My husband had the full English, which he really enjoyed. Offered more tea/coffee & toast. The hosts Jane & Mark were lovely and very helpful regarding the local area...

We were visiting family in the area and this fit the bill perfectly for location. The room was large and very well appointed with walk in shower in large bathroom. Toiletries were provided if required and soft bath towels. Spotlessly clean in boththe bedroom and bathroom. A kettle and mugs was available with a selection of both coffee and tea or chocolate with proper sized mugs for making it in. Being diabetic on insulin I asked if they could store more insulin in a fridge which was no problem...

The property is well situated looking over the sea loved the room we stayed in with balcony

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and well decorated. The breakfasts were excellent. We will certainly stay at the Furzedown next time we come to Great Yarmouth.

Lovely clean rooms and friendly/helpful staff. Came back to the hotel rather late and hadnt forewarned the hotel, had to call for assistance to get back in...

All the little additions that make a great b&b are considered and make the stay special. The breakfast is good value and the service is really attentive and aimed to give you a great experience. The information they provide is also helpful but they could do with up dating some of the restaurant reccomendations which were in some cases overly optimistic in the presentation! Fab stay would thoroughly reccomend.

We had a WONDEFUL stay. I have to admit, when we arrived, we were not at all sure, but within a short period of time, it became very apparent that we had made a good choice. The room was spacious, air-conditioned and a huge bed, very comfortable. We ate in the restaurant most evenings, save one (which was a terrible mistake, btw), but he next evening we were back at the Balcony Restaurant, where the service & food were impeccable. Staff all around were ever so friendly and helpful, which can be...

Helpful staff. Good value. Great location

Stayed overnight with my mother, we were very impressed. Breakfast was lovely, our room was very comfortable with a sea view, would definitely recommend

Staff werecextremely friendly and helpful

This hotel was lovely. Welcoming staff The room was clean the location is great. Wouldn’t recommend getting a room at the front if you have children it might be a bit noisy early hours of the morning. The room was lovely fantastic view comfy bed think it would have been nice if the windows were slightly cleaner but it wasn’t a massive problem. The shower was Brillant tea coffee biscuits water hot chocolate in the room. We did ask for more coffee but it was late and the lovely man didn’t have...

The location was not what we expected from a seaside hotel

Room was clean and big, door hinges needed oiling (squeaky) Breakfast not included. Very expensive to buy as an extra but many cheaper places nearby for breakfast. Overall a great place to stay, will definitely stay here again.

Arrived at the Shrewsbury after a very long journey. Was greeted by sandie who was friendly and nothing was any trouble for them. She showed us to room which was very well equipped and extremely clean. We had the four poster suite which was beautiful. Breakfast was fantastic served by Tony who was always very friendly and always found time for a chat offering a wide range which filled us up till the evening. Would definitely stay there again and will be recommending the Shrewsbury to family and...
