"This hotel is aged. Pain peeling, furniture faded and knocked and carpets from a bygone era. Car parking is in the town on a public street which entails carrying luggage a long way to the hotel rail shuttle and then again onto the hotel reception. The rooms are terrible. Very dated. The bed base on the floor with a thin mattress atop a 15cm high base. You don't so much step out of bed when you get above a certain age, as roll out. The bed sagged to so didn't provide comfort. "The hotel is situated right beside the bus and train station which is great for obvious reasons using the transport system. The hotel was spotless and well maintained all be it a little dated and showing signs of age. Breakfast was included in our deal which was a range of cooked and cold items to suite all ages and great coffee. Car parking is available onsite if you hire one. However at £25 a day or part there off I thought it was expensive. Considering how small the spaces were and no disabled space either So if someone is slightly infirm you had to stop and let them out before trying to park. There is a car parking beside the train station 5 minutes away modern bright and they charge £17 per day. Staff are extremely helpful and while most speak some English they mainly speak Swiss German. The house keeping team are great and the rooms or junior suite was immaculately maintained."

"We booked for the end of August with the understanding that there was no AC. The fan and cracked windows make it okay. The staff was excellent. Hotel’s location was easy to get to with luggage from the train and I’m 62."
