Beautiful hotel “across the river” but near The Philosopher’s Way. Vibrant, but safe neighborhood. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat. The staff are very kind and helpful.
Parking can be a bit tight, but there are spots to be found.
This city is made for walking!

Great location

We loved the location of this hotel. It’s located on a lovely little square with bars, cafes, bakeries, and even a market while we were there. An easy walk to the old city. Staff in the hotel were super friendly and helpful.

This is a very well maintained, modest hotel in a lovely part of town. The staff is very friendly and accommodating but note that the reception desk closes between 10:30p and 6:30a. The hotel is small and not spectacular but for a simple, straightforward stay in Heidelberg on a charming square (with a farmers market some mornings) it’s really exceptional.

Lovely quiet small hotel

Excellent, small quiet hotel very conveniently located outside the old town but close eneough to walk there, and with normal neighborhood serving stores nearby. Good breakfast selection from a small but full buffet

Great recently-renovated small hotel

Quiet, clean and comfortable, in a very nice old part of town across the river from the university. I am told there is a market on Saturday and Wednesday in the square that the rooms face, so I would expect some early morning noise as that gets set up. Breakfast was excellent, and less than €10.

Great new hotel

We booked this hotel while traveling Germany; it was close to downtown. The hotel is nice, the area is nice and lots of options, and only a 20 min walk to the bridge. We ended up with the handicapped room. Growing up with a handicapped mother this was one of the best handicapped bathrooms I had ever seen.

The hotel was lovely. Our room had a gorgeous view over a lovely open platz (though the bar was a little lively late into a Wednesday night with windows open). The rooms were extremely comfortable, the morning buffet was lovely, and the staff were warm and attentive. The location was easily walkable to old town and the castle for those who don't have issues walking on tour. We also enjoyed a drink in the platz outside the restaurant while there. It's an affordable, lovely place to stay. Thank you Rafaela!

The hotel and staff were excellent. Major plus is this hotel is only 4 years old and has A/C in its rooms. It is a little bit of a walk to the old city of Heidelberg a little over a mile but if you walk along the river it is nice. Their is not parking so you will need to park in the parking garage which is about a 10 minute walk. Overall this hotel was a very nice stay.
