Thorn Creek Cottage

Thorn Creek Cottage

10/10 Excellent
"Thorn Creek Cottage was perfect for our girls’ weekend. It’s bigger and nicer than it appears in the listing, and very clean! The furniture and appliances were newer, not thrift store finds. The kitchen was well-stocked with nice dishes, pans, utensils, spices, etc. The only thing we had to buy was aluminum foil. The primary bathroom was huge and stocked with extra towels and toiletries in case we forgot anything, which we did. The a/c was a bit loud, but tolerable once we got used to it. The bedrooms were just the right size, and the loft area was spacious and well-lit, although the spiral staircase to the loft was a tad scary. An added bonus was plenty of accessible electrical outlets! The exterior was great! The grass was freshly mowed, there were plenty of chairs for porch-sitting and deer-watching. The gazebo by the creek was amazing. We spent most of Saturday playing games there and sitting in the water. The host was very helpful with suggestions and quick to respond to questions. I would love to come back here someday!"

"This was a perfect rental experience! The cottage was adorable, with beautiful views. Peaceful surroundings. Exceptionally clean. Every amenity you could want, including fresh food in the fridge. Fully stocked kitchen. Nice walk-in shower. There was even a fire pit, grill, and firewood provided. The host was very welcoming, and made sure that our stay went smoothly. I could have stayed there for a week, just relaxing, enjoying the property, and sightseeing in the area. Definitely recommend!"

"Absolutely loved our stay! Bill was so sweet and accommodating. Felt like visiting home away from home. Room was beautiful and clean & they even made us home cooked breakfast Saturday morning! Was only about 15 mins from downtown Staunton and all the things we wanted to do! Definitely looking forward to staying there again!"

"This property was perfect for a weekend getaway with my friends/bandmates. Secluded and private, and quiet, yet also not too far from downtown Harrisonburg or stores, restaurants, parks, etc. Would definitely recommend."

"This was our second time staying at the Golden Ridge Cabin. It is perfect: beautifully appointed, very clean, and so cozy. Kurtis is a very communicative host and we got a sweet note from the property manager welcoming us upon arrival. Rawley Springs is one of my favorite places and it is wonderful to be able to walk down the road to enjoy them. I hope we will be back."
