We had a few issues but everything was resolved in a timely manner. The house is in the mountains. Very close to stores within a 5-10 minute drive. There is a bakery on the up the road about an 2 minute drive that had the best fresh baked bread and pastries. Our neighbors had a cow which was nice to see in the mornings. Our family loved the pool, the Rain Forest excursion (Nelson and his staff were excellent), and the various nearby beaches! The only suggestion we had was the lack of AC in the parts of the house. Its a short 10 minute ride to shopping centers and walmart for food/supplies. The drive to San Juan is on the linger side (about an hour and 10 minutes), but it depends what your plans are as to how much that would bother you. There are ample local bars and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house fit all 10 of us comfortably with plenty of room. The pool was the highlight of the home. The entire town was very welcoming and friendly and we made several trips to the local bakery down the road for sandwiches and desert. There are great restaurants nearby and the beaches are spectacular. Thank you for sharing this home as a little bit of paradise. ##### Kelly C. Power went out and someone came right over to turn generator on. Pool area was wonderful and a big hit with the kids. A washer and dryer would have been a great addition to the home. The local bakery was great and the cow next door amused the kids. Karaoke machine was fun. ##### vicky a. The home met the needs of our family of 11 people for 9 days. There were enough outdoor spaces that everyone who needed alone time could find a quiet place. The listing is accurate allowing us to be prepared for a comfortable stay. We were there over the 28th and enjoyed watching people get decked out in capes and masks to celebrate this cultural event. This neighborhood is the center of the party and the sirens and music went on all day and all night. Based on previous reviews we came prepared with ear plugs and re-routed our activities away from Hatillo for the day. If we came Puerto Rico again with our family we would stay again at the luxury utopia villa. ##### Amy B. Contacted the property mgr a couple of times with the first time on Sunday, on the key for the casuta door and was advised that someone would come out and no one did. We contacted again on Wednesday and still no one had showed up like we were told. And we checked out today which is Saturday. ##### Joey P. Stayed 7 nights in Nov 2024 ### 10/10 Excellent #### abbie a. 14 Jun 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Family Vacation Overall the house was exactly like the pictures, my only surprise was that it’s up and down stairs..just one room upstairs with no bathroom (big room) so the younger ones stayed up there..lol..I arranged this trip with my family so the pool house/room with its own bathroom was nice and private for some decompression time with my husband..we know family can be a lot..the pool was a true plus…but most importantly we did not feel like we were on top of each other..there were 10 of us…the grill was also a great benefit..definitely worth it..if you don’t mind driving it is a drive from other places 1-2 hrs…so map it out for your convenience. The beaches in the area are beautiful and restaurants were good We did a lot of driving to visit family but for the comfort it was worth it ##### abbie a. When we arrived at 4:30pm they were working on fixing things in the house. The bathrooms, the pools were dirty. They were no soap, paper towels or bathroom rugs. The rooms had AC but the kitchen, living room and dining room had only 3 ventilators which made it impossible to be together. ##### Chantale M. As times we could not hear each other talk and the neighbor on multiple days had a bank of speakers and police sirens blaring into the night. I assume most other times are lovely and the area seems nice. We still enjoyed our stay and the festival was at times very inspiring with lavish costumes and much of the area participating. ##### jim T. However, there is no A/C in the living room or kitchen which forces you to have the door open and have flies everywhere. For my stay, the place wasn’t as clean. We had to call and get the pool, a sofa bed, and one bed clean. Water leaking in the sink, issues with A/C in the room upstairs as it wasn’t strong enough to cool the room.
