Legacy Preston International Hotel

"Good overnight stay, room modern, clean, warm, comfortable and huge bed. Only a 10 minute walk to a large choice of eating places in town. Breakfast is a fair choice of hot and cold items and my only criticism was that the orange juice seemed watered down and was tasteless and I did miss the option of a fried egg."

Stone trough hotel

"Booked a night at The Stone Trough for our Wedding Anniversary. It was a little overwhelming. I wanted to give it 3.5 but there wasn't an option and 3 is too low. The main shared areas of the hotel are pleasant and our evening meal was delicious with fantastic staff. However our room was tired, with wall paper coming away from the ceiling. There were some cobwebs, a small recent stain on the bed throw and dusty skirting boards. Just little things that a should be noticed and kept on top of by cleaning staff. The bathroom was clean but the shower kept oscillating between scalding hot and freezing cold, a maintenance issue. Also,my mistake but the photos make the hotel look as if it's in a small village on a quiet road, but in fact, it's on a main road and not in a quaint village. I think the motorhome stopover is a brilliant feature and worth every penny. There are nice gardens and places to sit out the back. It was fine for one night but glad we didn't pay for two."

"Best Holiday Inn we've stayed in! We had a disabled access room and it was huge! Very clean. Absolutely most effective AC we've had in a UK hotel! Staff friendly. Hotel welcoming with free refreshments at reception. Breakfast good."
