"The cottage has all modern conveniences and is tastefully decorated. Everything was comfortable. The stairs are a bit challenging. The cottage is easy walking distance to town. We enjoyed our stay very much."

"This is a lovely, spacious and well-appointed house. It was too hot to make best use of the duvets, but the beds were very comfortable. There was plenty of crockery and cutlery - and a dishwasher to avoid the washing up. The powered recliners were especially welcome after a day of much walking. Naturally there is quite a lot of farm activity in the area, but it was far enough away not to be intrusive, and the people on the farm were very friendly and welcoming. Definitely a property to remember."

"A lovely loft apartment, within the owner's beautiful garden. Kate was the perfect host - friendly and prompt to help with any problems that we had. We were also provided with fabulous welcome gifts of food, drink and flowers from the garden! Just one thing - if you are older/less mobile, the bath can be difficult to get in and out of without help. We had a lovely relaxed week, as did Dave the dog!"

"The property was clean, very well-equipped and cosy. The only downside was the internet TV which was difficult for two 80 year olds to operate!! However, this was an unimportant factor and was more down to our inadequacies than the property. Bury St Edmunds is a short drive with easy parking. Saffron Walden is a lovely quaint town - again easy to get to with excellent parking. Park and Ride for Cambridge was convenient. We would definitely recommend this property."

"Helen and Alex, the owners, have literally thought of everything a guest might need...and made it available most generously. The location in the old part of the town happens to be perfect. To greet us there was a hamper with the basics tea, coffee etc but also all the ingredients for a full English breakfast. The bathroom was very well stocked, the bedrooms very comfortable, there is a little library of books, all you need for a barbeque and even 2 bicycles offered. We just kept finding things...

"This is a lovely well appointed cottage, spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds. It is clearly a period property with low ceilings in most rooms, narrow stairs and a beam in the floor of the main bedroom. All of this adds to its charm but would be unsuitable for anyone with mobility difficulties. The welcome pack was very thoughtful and Rob the owner who lives in the adjoining property was helpful but unobtrusive. We recommend The Three Blackbirds in nearby Wooditton and any trips into...

"Lily pad could be wonderful. Its setting is beautiful. I was really looking forward to staying. However the lodge is damp and the heating is wholly inadequate, the macerator in the shower room had leaked under the laminate floor and was still leaking on my arrival.The property was a health hazard. It stank and the noise of the macerator and vent was horribly noisy. Paymán expected me to stay let a handyman try and fixit.he was due to get to me in an hour. I had arrived at 5:40 at 6:50they...
