Enjoy your morning coffee from your balcony while taking in the glistening waters of the Gulf below. FEATURES: This 2 bedroom/ 2 bath unit at the Island Winds West is on the 8th floor. Enjoy the magnificent views from your private balcony. Located directly on the beach with direct beach access from the condo, you will be able to enjoy the amazing beaches this area is famous for. Located right by The Hangout, this condo has you located right in the center of Gulf Shores and huge events like music festivals, the NCAA Women’s Sand Volleyball tournament, and so much more! Our condo features free Wi-Fi, free cable TV, a fully stocked kitchen, and a full-size washer and dryer - free for you to use during your stay. A laundry packet is provided to do a load of laundry while you\`re here. Free private Wi-Fi ensures you have a great connection during your stay. MASTER BEDROOM: The master bedroom offers a King-sized bed and its own private ensuite bathroom. A TV with free cable provides comfortable viewing entertainment while you drift off to sleep. A private window lets you look out at the ocean while you relax and sleep in the bed. Bedside lamps provide reading light for late night readers. A closet and dressers provide plenty of storage place for your clothes and luggage. The private bathroom features a shower/tub combo and an electrical outlet by the vanity for your electric devices. GUEST BEDROOM: The Guest Bedroom includes a Queen-sized bed with a TV with cable, perfect for late night shows. A dresser offers storage for clothing. A bedside lamp offers reading light if you prefer a good read before going to bed. A private ensuite bathroom provides guests their own bathroom space featuring a shower/tub combo and vanity space. LIVING AREA: There is a Full-sized sleeper sofa in the living room for additional sleeping accommodations. A recliner sits next to the couch. Both are in great view of either the TV or the beautiful ocean. The dining table comfortably sits 2 people while a couple of additional people can dine at the bar top counter. KITCHEN: The kitchen is fully stocked with everything to satisfy your cooking needs. Plenty of pots and pans, baking sheets, appliances, dishes, cups, and utensils. The double sink allows easy dish washing while you\`re looking at a great view of the city. A standard drip coffee machine and a Keurig are in the unit. You will have to bring your own coffee. SURROUNDING AREA: Located in the heart of Gulf Shores, you\`re within walking distance to many attractions and restaurants. The very popular Hangout is located just down the beach making it an easy walk to get dinner and some live music. You\`re located right on the beach, so it\`s just a short trip to get yourself soaking in the sun. It\`s also right where the Gulf Shores Public Beach is located that offers additional beach space if the one by the condo is too crowded as well as some nice grassy areas to relax and have a picnic. There are lots of volleyball nets and a great walking path along the beach if you just want a nice walk. There are other good restaurants that are within walking distance of the condo. The management company that runs the condo complex will issue only 1 parking pass during summer and \`peak seasons.\` They determine what those peak seasons are, so there is no way for us to guarantee that you will be able to get a second parking pass. \- Parking is purchased directly from the condo complex. \- Parking may be purchased ahead of time through VRPAccess. We will provide information about that option once the reservation is fully paid off. Damages: \- Look around the unit upon check-in and note any damages. Let us know about anything you find immediately. You will be held accountable for any damages found following your departure if we were not notified of the damage by you upon your arrival. \- Please notify us of any damage that occurs during your stay. Accidents happen and we understand that. We may have to charge you for the damage depending on the cost and damage caused. \- Any missing items will be charged to guests Emergencies: There is no dedicated overnight emergency contact. If an emergency happens, leave us a message. We might respond then. If not, then we will get back in touch with you first thing in the morning. Maintenance: \- Inform us of any maintenance issues that happen during your stay. We will be out or have someone come out as soon as possible depending on the severity of the issue. It might take a day or two if the issue is minor. \- You do not need to be present for us to get in and perform maintenance. Daily Maid Service: \- There is no daily maid service \- Towels and bed linens are freshly washed and changed out before each reservation \- An additional cleaning service may be scheduled for longer stays. You will be charged an extra fee for the service. The condo was described perfectly to a T. The area has several restaurants and little stores in walking distance. Condo was clean and very well taken care of. Islands West was a nice older building. Friendly atmosphere and easy check in. In need of some mild maintenance. Pool tiles falling off and in need of some paint. The unit was clean and decently equipped. The views from the balcony were great and we spent a lot of time out there. We were able to walk to several restaurants for dinners and running to the grocery was convenient enough with several options. We would stay here again in the future. ##### Julie L. My cleanliness rating is only based on the cleaner hasn’t cleaned base boards on a regular basis. Bathrooms really noticeable. We had a great week’s sleep nice & quiet. Nice new pillows. The view was amazing as we watched the Dolphins from our balcony each morning. Only negative was the tub would not drain in the front bathroom and the fan would not work. There was a lot of dirty clothes left in the dresser from a previous guest and no batteries in the tv remote. Overall these were minor issues. I would def. stay again. ##### misty b. Perfect location and perfect beach access. (The beach is RIGHT there!) You could tell it was a little older property but it was well maintained and cleanliness was great. Easy check in and communication. We had three adults and two kids - perfectly fit us. Beautiful view of the beach. First time for my family at Gulf Shores and it was fantastic. Close to everything. Good thing we had the pool because it was double red flags for the week so - no beach swimming! Pool was a little small but water was kept at a good temp and it was clean. Kids had a good time in the pool. I even made a seafood boil and steamed crab legs one evening for dinner - well-equipped kitchen! The two grandkids gave the condo two thumbs up. ##### matinatl M. My issue or warning is the couch and chair are very hard to get out of. We are older and the low profile makes your exit up and out of them challenging.We had issues getting the local TV stations as well. It was a challenge to figure out which of the 3 remotes to operate for the free service in the room.The master bedroom king bed makes allot of noise when you get out of the bed on the edges. The side support seems to be worn out on the bed. I had to fix the leaky toilet in the master bath to stop the constant water fill. Those are the issues we had to deal with upon our arrival.The actual rooms and stay went well and very much enjoyed the view and sounds of the surf. If the living room issues were corrected, I would consider returning next year.We really liked the close location to Hwy 59 and the surrounding accommodations for shopping and food.I would recommend this area for those seeking a very nice beach and easy location with less traffic. ##### Mark M.
