The Kitchen HAS STAINLESS STEEL APPLIANCES UPDATED CABINETS & COUNTER TOPS. It has a new table with 6 chairs. There are 4 bar stools and restaurant style highchair. MASTER BEDROOM HAS new furniture. A KING BED. THE OTHER BEDROOM HAS 2 FULL SIZE BEDS.
THERE IS A new SOFA SLEEPER IN THE LIVING ROOM.
CERAMIC TILE THROUGH OUT.
IT has a smart TV ON THE WALL IN LIVING ROOM AND HD TVs in BOTH BEDROOMS. FULL size Speed Queen WASHER & DRYER IN THE UNIT.

BALCONEY IS ON THE OCEAN FRONT. LARGE heated POOL AND KIDDIE POOL. EXERCISE ROOM.
CHARCOAL GRILLS AND COVERED PICNIC TABLES, A COVERED AREA BY THE POOL. Has 2 ELEVATORS.
It is CLOSE TO RESTAURANTS, SHOPS, WATERVILLE, ZOO, CITY PARK, THE HANGOUT and MUCH MORE.
There is a one time fee for entire stay for parking passes for this building. They are $50.00 each. Limit two parking passes for two bedroom units.

A nice apartment a short walk from the Hangout. Easy beach access for great sunrise and sunset views. I liked the fact there was a Keurig as well as a regular coffee maker.

Just what we needed!

This property was perfect! We absolutely love the location—right on the ocean, within walking distance of shops, the city park and restaurants. The condo was spotless and very welcoming. Family Vacation

This condo was perfect for our family vacation! We had no issues during our stay with check in or anything else. We were a little worried about parking as we had two cars, but we never had trouble finding spots in the lot! The beach was beautiful and there was a chair/umbrella rental service right in front of the condo. This was the perfect spot as it was within walking distance of many attractions such as the hang out!

Birthday surprise!

I surprised my wife for her birthday with a little getaway to Gulf Shores. We really enjoyed our time with all the restaurant and shopping choices in the area and the Island Wind West, where we stayed, was in a great location. Right on the beach and walking distance to The Hideaway, Pink Pony, among other places. The condo we stayed in was perfect for us. The owners, Doris and Dwight, were easy to communicate with. We will be back for sure!

The best week!

We loved staying at island winds west! The view was beautiful, right on the beach. We loved that there were extra beach toys provided for the kids! The colorful beach vibe decorations made the stay so fun for the kids! I’d say our only complaint was the smoke alarm placed right above the dryer. So it would frequently go off due to the heat from the dryer. Other than that, our stay was perfect!

Birthday Surprise!

Surprised my wife with a few days in Gulf Shores. We stayed at the Island Winds West in a wonderful condo. The owners, Doris and Dwight, were very easy to communicate with. The condo, located on the 4th floor and facing the gulf, was clean and well appointed. The view was magnificent and we sat out on the balcony every night regardless how hot/humid it was. The condo location was an easy 10 minute walk to The Hideaway, Pink Pony, and a few good restaurants. We had a great time and hope to return soon, as it is an easy 7 hour drive from our home in Tennessee. Thank you Doris and Dwight!

Quick Beach Trip

We wanted to get away for a quick fall break weekend with our adult children. We arrived a little bit early and were able to communicate with the owner and they graciously allowed us an early check-in. We found the condo very clean and accommodating. We had everything that we needed for a comfortable getaway. The property on which the condo was located was extremely well maintained and clean and everyone working on the property was extremely friendly and helpful. It was a very short and convenient walk to the beach which allowed us to not have to drag an entire days worth of stuff at one time. There are soft drink machines in the lobby as well as an ice vending machine, which is very handy. The pool area was very clean as were the complimentary grills. The grills were equipped with grilling tools and a bag of charcoal. We really couldn't have asked for a better overall experience. We'll definitely book here again the next time we travel to the beach.

Great Condo on the Beach in an Excellent Location!

Overall, we enjoyed our trip to Gulf Shore and this condo was great! It was our first time in the area and we're definitely coming back. We appreciated the communication with the owner, and when we needed to add a day, it was a very easy process. Pros: - Right on the beach and beautiful views from the balcony. - Getting the parking pass was much easier than expected and plenty of parking at the building. While no reserved spots, they claim to not oversell parking so a spot should always be available. - Excellent location in Gulf Shores. Walking distance to the Hangout, Pink Pony, Burro Azul and Lauria's By the Beach (YUMMY Italian across the street). - Wooden boardwalk from the pool area across the dunes to the beach. Very easy access! - While we didn't rent chairs or an umbrella, they are set up every day right in front of the building on the beach. - Kitchen was well stocked with needed appliances, dishes, pots/pans, etc. - Primary room King bed very comfortable. - Liked having the electronic front door lock and not having to worry about forgetting/losing an actual key. - Great water pressure in the shower for being on the 4th floor. We have had issues with that in the past! Cons: - Unit is showing its age a little. - Living room couch is "sunken" which happens to older sleeper sofas. - Both double beds in the second bedroom squeak when you sit or lay on them. - The remotes in the primary bedroom were a bit finicky. Thanks! We'd definitely return to this condo!
