They Joyc hotel is a hidden gem in Dongguan. I requested the non-smoking floor. It was the first hotel I've stayed in in China that did not completely stink of cigarette smoke. The room was really clean and the service was great. I will stay there again. Also, as much as I like Chinese food, I need a break every once and awhile. Being a foreigner, my challenges were not being able to communicate with staff- only one staff member could speak English. Additionally, it was winter and this hotel had no heating so it was very cold everywhere in the hotel. The best part about my stay was the BED! OMG! So so comfortable. I slept like a baby every night except id get awaken by the honks of the traffic. Its a China thing you will hear it everywhere. Free breakfast was good. Loved the coffee, and breads. Service was good, employees always greet you with a smile. Room was cleaned but not vacuumed often thats the only thing I didnt like. Overall for the price an awesome deal.
