It says coffee and tea in common area. No coffee or tea in common area. It says courtesy shuttle. Then they tried to charge the taxi rate for the shuttle' Here is what courtesy shuttle means. Yes, complimentary and courtesy mean free. Yes, it sounds fine to say courtesy shuttle or complimentary bus. Complimentary and courtesy mean that they are provided for their customers, not for everybody. They are free to the customer, not to the person who happens to walk in from the street.

Did like only the view. Did not like: Not knowing that this hotel has two locations one in the downtown (DT) and another away from downtown. Both locations required a LOT of steps to climb. The hotel away DT has a cliff as an entrance no handrails to hold yourself to go down. My friend aunt fell and hurt her knee when we arrived. Most of the staff showed indifference about the event. Dusted and old furniture. Rusty windows without lock dirty and mold bathroom. We were charged $12.50 for an stain Towel that we never saw to verify the issue. Downtown hotel required A LOT of steps to climb. This building still in construction. Beds were old and cranky on both locations.

We are sorry that the experience has been that way, but it should be noted that in no way was there indifference to the fall of your family member, all the care of the establishment's doctor was provided for care at no extra cost and it was not accepted, the transfer was offered to a medical institution and was not accepted either.The establishment was not the one you would have looked for and the recommendations that are made in case you have any limitation to access the hotel were not really paid attention to.

The discount is not always the answer to a problem in the service, unless what you are looking for is not paying the value of the service, in general all the needs of our guests are met and we strive to always do so, fail on our part it must be solved.

Roach in my coffee
I would not recommend this hotel, the room that we booked was not what was on the picture of the room here in Hotels.com. No daily house cleaning, the bed was made but the towels were not changed nor soap, nor shampoo. When I requested clean towels, it took them about 20 minutes to get towels. No coffee maker in the room, if you wanted coffee you would have to go to the reception area at a certain time. We got coffee in the reception area on our first night it was good, but the next morning I requested coffee and they brought it to my room with toast. When I drank the coffee it had a ROACH in the coffee, so I told the staff and they did nothing. So disappointing. The rooms are not sound proof, we could hear everything that is being said in the reception area, plus we can hear all the foot steps, and also we could he the parking area. They offer free transportation to the center of the city and back, but if you want to come back to the hotel from downtown you need to be at a certain corner 11am, 4pm , 8pm or 11pm..well we stood at the street corner at 8pm, but called prior to 8pm to make sure they will show up and they told me yes....the driver arrived at 8:20pm, we stood in the cold for 20 minutes. Then the next night we requested the driver to pick us up at 10pm (which it has a cost of $50 pesos which they told us and we were fine with that), so they told me that it would be 10 minutes, but it took about 20 minutes to pick us up. I do not recommend this hotel.

We regret that the impression of the service is not correct, and we attend to your complaint point by point, as you deserve.1.- The photos that correspond to public spaces and rooms are the ones that should be, if you pay an affordable price for a single room, do not expect to receive a master suite (which we do have in our types of rooms available to the public ) everyone receives what they pay for.2.-Cleaning is done daily, there are cards in the room about the cleaning service and change of towels and whites, it mentions that the card must be placed in the whites that you want to be changed, this in accordance with the policies of sustainable practices to which it belongs in the field of being a socially responsible hotel, The shampoo and other amenities are supplied every day of the stay, in all the rooms regardless of the type of reservation it is, it must be part of a good service to any place of lodging that is visited.3.- There are several things for which a towel can be delayed and sometimes they are out of our hands, what you yourself mention in your comment is that if you were provided with the service, the courtesy of coffee is not an obligation to provide it, although We do it with the best of tastes, since it must be part of the good service, and here I do not understand what the discomfort was, they required coffee in their room, it was enough to request it, no one will be denied.4.- The issue of cockroaches and that nothing has been done besides already sounds repetitive and falls into the realm of falsehood.5.- The transportation service at the time you booked was free of charge, this with the intention of serving our guests in a more personalized way, but it was subject to availability and at certain times, outside of these times the service would have a symbolic cost but would still be subject to availability, And at the end of the answer I am left with the impression that they only point out what was bad for you, but without support, since our main mission is to attend to how we would like to be treated and believe me, no one from the team of our hotel group he treats badly.

READ before booking
*READ this review before booking* I was excited about staying at this hotel mainly because of the views and price. I was disappointed with several things about this hotel, so here is my list: 1. Staff was OK, but not everyone was wearing a mask at all times. 2. Housekeeping was OK. A bit late to come into our room to clean it, so we were already there after a long morning walk into the city. 3. Our room was literally next to the lobby (a horrible place to be). It was VERY noisy at all times. We had a very hard time to go to sleep at night. 4. During the night, we could smell cigarette smoke coming from the lobby. So not quite a "smoke free" place. 5. The room had no frames or anything on the walls, which made it seem like unfinished. 6. Parking was on-site and was free for guests, but the area is so small that you have to leave your car keys so they can move it around if needed. I was not comfortable leaving my car keys for someone to may be move it, especially during COVID times. The only thing I liked about the hotel was the view and the coffee we had in our continental breakfast. If I were you, I will look into another hotel. I will definitely not stay at this hotel again.

We were disappointed in this hotel. Though charming with a lovely view it was inconvenient, with no refrigerator in the room, the phone not working, and awkward to get between the room and reception. Worst of all there were an insect and a lizard in the room.

We regret the impression about our service, how you mention the failure upon arrival was fixing the pipe that supplied hot water, which was done quickly, in about an hour.The cost of pets is carried out in any pet friendly establishment, it is charged per night of stay because they stay with you inside the room, if the pets were kept in a pension, it would still have a cost.

Staff was very accommodating. Went out of their way to make our trip pleasant. The physical facility is in need of an update. Yes, we had a huge terrrace...no chairs or table to enjoy it. Rooms were old and poorly decorated and in need of repair. Lots and lots of stairs...to your room, to reception, to the restaurant. Location offers great view, but walking to and from Centro is challenging.

Don't book and expect to get the rooms you reserved. We book 3 different rooms to plan using 5his hotel for tours to the city and our room was given to others paying more money. Horrible customer service. The hotel itself offered everything we wanted but they lost a chance to have our company book 200 room nights for the year.

Hotel Chocolate Suite over looks Guanajuato City, we stayed at Suite Delafee, the bedroom is huge, bathroom is also very big, it has lots of storage space too. From bedroom, we can walk directly to the deck and see entire city, the view is amazing at daylight and gets better at night. Continental breakfast included coffee/tea and bread. You can order more with extra charges. It took us some navigation to drive there because of no GPS signals in the tunnels. Parking spots are limited and can be very tricky, we saw someone broke his rear side mirror when backing up. Paths leading to Zocalo are very steep, climbing up can be challenging. We enjoyed our time at this location.

The Leonides room is right off of reception and just outside is the main entrance to the hotel. This made the stay a little noisy and we were nervous about security. The hotel is also a bit out of Centro up a steep hill so must be OK with climbing or take a taxi.

Nice location and great view to city. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Shuttle to downtown was good. When we arrived I noticed there was no AC and when I asked the guy who took us to the room he offered me a fan, which helped a lot. Close to downtown but streets have a lot of steps. we decided to use uber and to use the shuttle instead. The only thing we did not like was the bath towels, and that they did not leave extra towels or wash clothes. They offer breakfast, even though we did not use them, I think it is nice for them to offer free breakfast.
