"We had a lovely restful vacation at Les Vanilles. Clarisse is an excellent host, very welcoming and helpful. The gite is just right for a relaxing holiday for a couple- quiet, comfortable, and well located for exploring the Deshaies area & west coast of Basse Terre. We particularly enjoyed walking the coastal trail from Deshaies north to Grande Anse & beyond to beaches to the north, and swimming/snorkelling at local beaches."

"Pour commencer un accueil très chaleureux de nos hôtes. Planteur dans le frigo et petit déjeuner prévu pour le lendemain.... une très belle attention. Les cottages sont parfaitement situés sur basse terre. Il y a une multitude de choses à faire .., randonnées et plages de rêve. Si il y’a un endroit où aller c’est bien chez Sandrine et Claude. Nous nous sommes régalés !"

"Nous avons séjourné durant le mois août 2025, dans ce charmant logement très bien situé très calme. La piscine est très grande bien ensoleillée. Les lits sont très confortables et possèdent une moustiquaire. "Accueil hyper sympathique des hôtes. On se sent comme à la maison avec Florence. Nous avons eu droit à un séjour comme à la maison. Les lieux sont très propres et avons eu tout plein de délicates attentions. Le poulet colombo de Florence est succulent. Il y a une citerne, nous n'avons jamais manqué d'eau même après une vingtaine de jours. Appartement coquet pour une petite famille.Gros merci à nos hôtes."

"I would recommend this hotel. The unit we have was set up like a French Gite. Outside under cover was the fully equipped kitchen and dining area. Inside plenty of room with a TV, WiFi, master bed and two single beds. En-suite with shower. Staff were family and spoke several languages. We ate at the restaurant on New Year’s Eve and the food was excellent. Would recommend the restaurant. There is a small swimming pool but the beach is only 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Good location to explore from. Plenty of parking."

"Staff were very friendly and helpful. The large room with sea view was very good and the view was breathtaking. Breakfast was very good, lunch ok and evening snacks good. The bar shuts at 2200, which is good. There is a lovely beach/forest walk to the next beach. The bus stop is a short walk away with regular buses to Deshaies and other parts of the island. The island is beautiful and easy to get around. "
