Love Borders Retreat
We've stayed here a couple of times now and its great. Host is a delight. All the little touches; chocolates, the fresh cake, fresh eggs and in winter dry firewood! Only place we will stay when visiting Greytown.

Peaceful perfect situation
Our family really enjoyed and appreciated the peace & quiet we could have at boarders retreat in Greytown. Close to shops, eating places, family and activities. Everything is there to cook with, sleeping in comfortable beds, country decor with outdoor furniture to enjoy the lovey weather Greytown has to offer. We highly recommend to others looking for a quiet retreat away from the hustle and bustle of city life, yet near to shopping, cafes, restaurants and activities in the Waiarapa. Thanks so much for having us.

A wonderful experience
From the moment I booked this beautiful barn the communication was outstanding. The house far exceeded our expectations and the hospitality was second to none. Thank you Sandra for making us feel so welcome. The house was so quaint, clean and well appointed. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who is after a special stay in Greytown. Walking distance to town but so private!

This is my 4th time at this lovely cottage. Sandra is a great host and her lemon loaf is the best. The cottage is easy walking distance to town even for the kids and Greytown has such a nice atmosphere. Highly recommend staying here.

We loved our stay in this lovely old cottage full of character with lots of little extras provided. It was beautifully warm as it was a cold weekend and we enjoyed sitting round the fire. Would definitely go again.

A touch of rural luxury in one of New Zealand's prettiest towns
We had our weekend break from Wellington at Border's Retreat and it delivered everything that was promised. Fully self-contained it has a lovely character-filled interior, comfortable furnishings and a nice deck which we were able to use in the great weather we experienced. Its a short distance from the Greytown town centre and the local supermarket and on a pretty street that was so quiet compared with hustle of Wellington.

Cosy French style Cottage
We had a lovely stay in this cosy cottage. Whilst the weather didn't play the game (it rained most of the time) we enjoyed the comforts of the cottage, including a wood burner that warmed up the cottage nicely. The continental breakfast was tasty and the lemon loaf tasty.

The PERFECT Stay

This is so cute!
Its obvious that Sandra is a perfectionist - the place is immaculately clean and well presented! The furnishings are a delight and every time you look around you see some other delightful detail that you missed at first glance. Chandeliers in the bedroom, a very welcome fan in the living room (35 degrees in Wairarapa the day we were there), lemon cake in the welcome pack and fantastic muesli. Thank you Sandra - next time we must stay longer. Would certainly recommend Borders Retreat to anyone looking for a quality stay.

This was our second visit to this property with the last visit during winter. This property is just as wonderful in summer. Had a fantastic stay enjoying the great BBQ facilities and outside area. The lemon cake was just as delicious the second time around!
