"The room was very up-to-date and spotlessly clean. It was small, but cleverly designed to make the most of the space and the view was, of course, spectacular. All of the staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. The one negative that was pervasive though was the sense of being nickeled and dimed at every turn. When we arrived, the valets were very attentive, but it was only then that we learned that the "onsite parking" and "valet parking" listed under the amenities of the hotel were $75/night and $100/night, respectively. The website gave the impression they were included in the fairly high room rates, although, to be fair, it didn't explicitly say that. Then, when I checked in, the desk clerk immediately tried to up-sell me a larger room for an additional $300/night. In the room the two bottles of water had neck tags inviting one to "enjoy the complimentary water." Reading further revealed the water is "complimentary only for certain-level rewards guests. All others pay $3/bottle. For the price of the rooms, one might think a bottle of water could be thrown in at no charge leaving a positive impression rather than sold for a tidy profit. All in all though, we had a nice stay. The area around the hotel is bustling and offers up lots of options for dining and fun. The proximity to the Table Rock Welcome Center was also a huge plus."
