Nice property for exploring Grand Lake. We loved walking to everything and it's super close to RMNP. Road noise is a little rough at night, but once we closed all windows and ran fans it was better. Loved the grill and picnic area, a great outdoor space to use.

The unit was not clean. The main entry hall smells strongly of dogs and we think the floor is damaged and covered by a small carpet. The unit has dog hair throughout, and a layer of dust in corners, on all baseboards, and on all blinds and windowsills. A dirty rag was sitting on a windowsill by the stairs. The coffee pot is missing the pot, so I had to brew one mug at a time. The 1st floor bedroom has floor damage by the bathroom which the owner tried to cover with layers of smelly carpet that may it even more of a tripping hazard. There are flying gnats throughout that same level. That floor was over 75 degrees with no heat on and the windows could not be opened to cool it since there are no screens. Opening the windows would increase the bug problem. I had a cup of coffee in the room with over 10-15 dead bugs in it the next morning. Finally, the 2nd level bedroom carpet is rolled by the door and is a tripping hazard. On a positive note, the beds were comfortable.

The town of Grand Lake is a fun little mountain town right near the west entrance into Rocky Mountain National Park. The condo was very disappointing. The description in VRBO is incomplete and misleading. If you want lots of exercise then you will love it. 2 very long flights of stairs and the kitchen is on the 3rd level. This would NOT be a safe place for babies or toddlers or people with any physical challenges. There is no AC and we only found 2 inefficient noisy box fans. The unit is right next to the main road into Grand Lake and with needing to leave the windows open it is noisy! Bring your own coffee but don't worry about pancake syrup - i found 5 open bottles in the cupboard! Very poor quality eating utensils and overall a disorganized mess of a kitchen. Let's see.. any positives? Games for kids and good wifi. Beds are so so - east bedroom needs room darkening shades/curtains. All in all an uncomfortable stay at this "luxury" condo!
