As a Dad traveling with my family, I feel obligated to leave honest reviews, and I’ll admit that this one almost started off very differently. Before our stay, communication with the host through VRBO was frustrating. We had difficulty getting responses, and it definitely left me feeling uneasy about our reservation. By the time we arrived, I was honestly prepared to write a pretty critical review. That said, credit where credit is due: check-in was incredibly easy, and the condo itself was absolutely beautiful. It was clean, comfortable, well-maintained, and exactly what our family needed. The location was great, and Base Camp Lodge was also beautiful and well cared for. In the end, there were really only two things I would change. First, there is no air conditioning. I understand that many accommodations in Granby don’t have A/C because of the generally mild mountain temperatures, but during warmer afternoons it would have made the stay much more comfortable. Second, the lodge pool access was 20 per person, per day—not per stay. While this was disclosed in the listing, I still found it surprisingly expensive for what is essentially a lap pool without additional amenities. For a family, those costs add up quickly. Overall, despite my rocky start with the communication issues, the condo itself was beautiful, comfortable, and made for a very enjoyable stay. If the host communication improves it would be a five star property
