OK hotel for a family break, but not spectacular.

Posted 15-Aug-2016
Pros: The large pool at the top was lovely but 3 flights of stairs up from our room so anyone with very young children in a family room needs to watch that.
Cons: The waiters were too busy clearing tables to serve customers and glasses, plates and cups were often in short supply at the busiest times.
Location: Spar super market 10 mins walk to buy water and wine at a fraction of the cost at the hotel!!!
Spent 17 days with my family of 5 at Gloria Palace San Agustin. The family accommodation is in an annex with no views and not very inspiring. The buffet was very good with a great variety of meals. The restaurant got too busy at times so worth reserving a table by the patio doors.

Great hotel in a quiet location

Posted 04-Aug-2016
Pros: Chill out zone on the 9th floor is managed by staff who were fantastic. It is the perfect place to relax with background music and excellent food.
Cons: Lifts need to be improved as only 3 serviced the whole hotel
Location: Quiet location. Walk down to the shopping centre and grab a mouth watering pizza.
Arrived late at night and was given room 36 - no sea view or balcony and overlooked a builders site! Not a good start to the holiday but on speaking to reception we were moved to a room which was lovely on the 7th floor. Rooms cleaned daily and facilities were good. Food in the hotel was varied and the restaurant staff were friendly and efficient. Many previous reviews complained about the sun loungers but we didn't have a problem with them despite the hotel being busy. The chill out zone on the 9th floor is the jewel in this hotels crown. Perfect place to relax. Met David Tacoronte once again from Gloria Palace Royal - perfect host. Quiet location but if you turn right out of the hotel, first left and left again to follow road you can take a short cut to the beach. Very few bars around the beach area so if you're after night life take a taxi to Maspolomas Yumbo Centre. San Agustin shopping centre, a short walk from hotel, has a spar and several shops. Found a pizza/steak restaurant here which is definitely worth a visit or two.

Hôtel trop grand

Posted 02-Aug-2016

Clean safe friendly hotel.

Posted 28-Jul-2016
Great hotel, excellent staff and great for kids - there are lots of other kids to make friends with and the animation team work hard. Evening entertainment isn't great but the hotel is clean, friendly and the spa is fabulous. Yes the sunbeds are a real pain but the hotel police this as best they can and after all this is down to other holiday makers who can be very competitive! We really enjoyed our stay and when my husband slipped over and cut his finger the hotel were wonderful - even ringing the hospital, paying for our taxis, medical care and medicines. The staff are fabulous and look after you as best they can. A fab week.

Does not live up to expected standard

Posted 26-Jul-2016
Pros: - Greeted with welcome drinks by friendly staff - Meals: lots of options and service was relatively quick - Short queues at the bar.
Cons: Rooms could be cleaned better, working AC, WIFI and lifts. Also see above.
Location: Palmitos Park was excellent!
After reading the reviews, we were hoping that we would have enjoyed our stay but were left disappointed. Cleanliness: bathroom was clean but sheets were not changed during our stay and the balcony was very dusty. The room also smelled of stale smoke. AC: For 3/5 nights, the AC did not work properly in the main room and didn't work in the second. On the first night, the room was very hot. We reported the issue to reception and it was "fixed". At 815 pm on the 3rd night, we reported that the AC wasn't working again. Maintenance showed up at 8:45 p.m, checked out the AC and said he would return but did not. We called reception at 9:35 pm and were told that they would send someone immediately. By 1045 pm, no one showed up. After complaining to the hotel manager the next morning, nights four and five were a bit better. Junior suite: Room layout is not suitable for children. There is no child lock/chain on the main room entrance which is in the room with the sofa bed. My toddler could easily have opened the door. Lifts: Only 2 were working at any one time and there was a constant queue. All inclusive:The all inclusive option does not include everything available. This would not have been issue if this was explained beforehand. Although we booked an airport shuttle, it was not there when we arrived at 945pm. After several failed attempts to contact the hotel, they eventually answered and could not find the booking. We ended up having to take a taxi at 11pm.

Nice hotel, management is still improving services

Posted 25-Jul-2016
Cons: Wi-Fi connection. Signal is very low and not stabile. More pillows in the rooms - only one is not enough
Definitely I would recommend this hotel. I was there already 4 times.

Fint hotell med store rom

Posted 21-Jul-2016
