Great hotel & staff. Beds needs to be updated, Comfortable enough but mattresses are kinda old, other than that a great place at a great price. Also, need ice machines.

Pros: Location, View, Facilities
Cons: The staff should be trained better
Location: Shopping center, restaurants, beach etc were close to the hotel.
+ The Location was good. The view was excellent specially from the top bar. The food and drinks varieties were ok. The pools were nice. The public facilities were Ok. It is valuable to stay there for the price. - The car parking place was not enough. The sound isolation between the rooms was really poor: coughing, walking, ring the door bell etc were the common sound in the room. We saw small insects in the room, bath and even in the restaurant. It seems that the hotel is overloaded (week 15, 2017) for example one should wait for empty elevator. Some of the staff could not speak English well: we received Cola instead of beer and a bottle of Champion instead of an empty glass. The safety box is not free, one should pay for that.

Towels in room, beach / lounger towels available also. Hair dryer poor. Free drinking water everyday in room. Half board great, food choice enourmous / unlimited so just 2 meals a day needed. 2 adults, 3 kids in a family suite was perfect. Entertainment in day and evening was great. Enough to keep you busy when you or kids just want a day by the pool. Will be going again. Staff were genuinely the most pleasant people I've ever met in a hotel/resort. Free parking. 400m from quiet beach.

Very large hotel away from the beaches.

Pros: Design, clean public areas and beautiful decor with many plants.
Cons: Room cleanliness. A DVD player in the room + a DVD rental from the reception would be handy.
Location: It would be useful if the public buses passed closer to the hotel. But for the local shopping centre with restaurants and bars there was nothing.
On our arrival we were not able to open the room because the door mechanism was faulty. I went back to the lady at the reception to report the problem. She came with me to the door but was also unable to open it. She said that the door cards were issued correctly. She called a mechanic who was very busy. We waited again about 15 minutes for him to arrive. He opened the door with his special device and let us in. He took another 15 minutes to repair the door lock. For the rest of the week we had no problem with the door. We spent a pleasant week at the hotel. We enjoyed breakfasts and the pool. Pity that only channels in English were the news channels. There were no English language entertainment channels. Everything was dubbed or in German or in Spanish.

Massive hotel and pool complex. Sea 1/2 mile away.

Pros: Breakfast alfresco. Comfortable room, friendly staff.
Cons: Food quality, smoking not restricted sufficiently
Location: Only hotels on coast. Need a car to see island
Restaurant like a cafeteria to cope with the numbers, so no atmosphere. Breakfast OK. Only had one buffet style evening meal and pork was quite rare! Food often cold before you got to your table. Wide selection but not the best quality. Excellent spa and pool complex adjoining, but at extra cost. As the holiday was booked late and the hotel cost us less than most apartments it represented reasonable value. We eat out a lot anyway, so poor quality evening meal not an issue. Definately would not wear the blue hospital style wristband identifier for all inclusive.

Large hotel with all facilities

We had a lovely time at Gloria Palace where we stayed in a family room with half board. The room and balcony was very spacious although they could have been cleaned a bit better, and the beds were slightly uncomfortable. The food was good and there was loads of choice both at breakfast and dinner. Would have liked to see a bit more fresh salads though. Perhaps we were there out of season. The outdoor pools were great as was the thalasso, which we visited once. We were a bit dissappointed to note this is not included in the rate as we had been lead to believe, but it was still worth the cost for the spa experience.

Much bigger hotel than we expected

Came away for four days sun in February. The hotel was huge, about 1200 rooms and far larger than we expected. However it was quite well appointed and had a fabulous salt water heated spa (which did cost extra, €24 a session, but worth every penny) and a classy second restaurant on the 9th floor next to the chill out area. The crowds didn't seem to make it up there and it was well worth the visit.

Gran Canaria holiday break

Pros: The staff were very friendly, good quality accommodation, and very good heath spa facilities
Cons: The availability of good quality tourist excursion advice and assistance
Location: Very nice sandy beaches easily accessible, shops and restaurants only a free bus ride away, nice pool and spa facilities on site.
This was a post Christmas holiday break with my wife. While the hotel is not very close to the beaches, the hotel provides a free shuttle service to/from the beach so this was not really an issue, and shops are in easy walking distance from the hotel. We had half board and the food was good quality and plenty of variation to cater for all tastes in our opinion. The staff were friendly and helpful to the best of their abilities, though there was a shortage of experienced front desk staff - too many trainees for efficient service and often kept waiting for the most basic queries to be sorted out. The major bone to pick is there was virtually no help in terms of advice regarding tourist excursions - you were just given brochures to look at and make your own guesses as to which trips were worth taking. In trips to a previous location, there were dedicated staff to assist with booking of excursions, and to give advice as to what trips would suit our specific needs which vastly improved our enjoyment of the holidays in question

Nice location but hotel could be better

The hotel needs to be maintained better. We stayed during high winds (12th Feb 2017) and saw roof panels blowing off. Also little things that could be fixed easily like rusty soap holders in the shower and insects on the floor. We booked a double room but got two twins pushed together. There was no information at checking or in a folder about hotel services and facilities. There are quite a few good facilities but you have to discover them all yourself. Overall the hotel is ok but if we were going back we would find a different place

Lovely holiday pre Christmas with 3 kids

Had an excellent time, children didn't want to leave. Food half board great. Pools good. Spa pool (for adults) amazing! Surprises for kids, especially santa and presents on xmas eve! Great stay, would come back. Shuttle to beach good as well.
