Very disappointed none of the restaurants on the hill were open; the main reason we booked here was to be able to settle in and walk to a nice spot for dinner and just relax. We ended up having to ride our motorcycles back into town in the rain to eat. Also pretty unimpressed that even though the hotel has a parkade we were just told “park wherever” which translated to the uneven muddy gravel lot across the street.

Nothing was working or available in the room. No wifi, no tv, the cables weren’t even connected. No satellite, the room phone was there but no connection, no tables or chairs. They told us that they were totally booked and no other rooms were available. We had to walk out in the pouring rain to go from lodge to main office numerous times trying to resolve the issue but with no management around, nothing was resolved.

Overall property wasnt too bad, room was much smaller then anticipated, if going during off season dont expect anything to be open at the lodge cause the place is a ghost town.

We paid $230 for a night in an average of room which was fine but they had no breakfast included or even coffee or juice available in the morning. Also inconvenient hours on the sauna and gym facilities so we were unable to use anything before we hit the road. Also no breakfast options unless you drive back down the mountain into Golden.

What's not to like? Those views? The top of a mountain? Friendly staff? Everything was great. We had a small issue and it was promptly taken care of. Great place, and even better in shoulder season.
