Great and beautiful location, but the facilities and rooms are getting very tired, not warranting the high price. For instance calcified and leaky faucets, scoff marks on walls and doors and squeaky floors. This could be a spectacular resort in this fantastic location, but needs a good overhaul.

The setting is stunning - really incredible. Great hiking around the lake and close to much of what Yoho has to offer. We enjoyed the wood burning fireplace and the wood was free. The grounds are pretty subdued and peaceful once the day use folks leave. The staff was excellent and very personable. Some situations arose where they were understaffed. The overnight parking is over a mile a way and they do provide a shuttle that runs 24/7. There were different issues with the shuttle which delayed us twice. We were not pleased with the closure of the medium priced restaurant leaving only the high end (expensive) dining option with a limited menu. Dinner was over $200 with wine. That and the fact they they posted there is no outside food allowed on the property...bush league. The accommodation was tired and sorely worn. So many things in dis-repair both in the room and on the exteriors of the cabins in need of fixing and paint. Surprising when you are typically paying over $300 a night. Really surprising.
