"The front desk staff were amazingly helpful in confirming all my details re departure and how to find buses etc. they printed out passes for me and re assured me a lot! It is a sweet location downtown, i had more of a budget room but i would suggest paying for a middle priced room to be more comfortable. Iceland is wonderful!"

"Excellent spot for Flybus Airport pick up and drop off and also a central spot for day tour pick ups and activities (across from The Harpa). Excellent available luggage storage if arriving early or departing late and walking distance of 10mins to all the shops and restaurants"

"Certainly I have stayed in some pretty seedy Hotels around the world during my lifetime. On a scale of 1-10 Hotel Fron rates as a 6 in my opinion. The Hotel has sadly become a little “Old and Tired” and whilst clean and fairly comfortable, overall the only great thing is it’s convenient location and it’s budget rates. The continental cold style Breakfast provided by the independent restaurant next door to the hotels guests, was fine enough with cold sliced commercial style meats and cheese slices etc The coffee however was dispensed from press down vacuum style coffee jugs and I think just a quality instant coffee. There was a small selection of fresh fruit, muesli a toaster etc. Again on a scale of 1-10 a 7 at best. Sadly. the charisma of one of the receptionists was like that of an Icelandic codfish. He clearly did not like interaction with any member of the general public. He is in the wrong job I think. Returning to the rooms. “Very Basic” and the tiny bathroom only had Body gel dispensers,towels and a hair dryer. Nothing else what so ever. Our room looked out to a back street. Our room had no net curtains so all of the neighboring properties could see into our room when our curtains were open. The said was true of our being able to look into some of the neighboring buildings windows too. Whilst sleeping in our bed, a wooden framed canvas picture crashed down onto our beds headboard and jammed itself between the headboard and the wall."

"We stayed for two nights and enjoyed this hotel. The front desk was super kind and helpful. The room was clean. We were there on Friday and Saturday nights so it did get loud from everything going on outside, however, we were so exhausted from two busy days that it did not bother us at all!"

"We found parking outside the hotel easy to drop off bags. The reception staff were lovely throughout. The lounge area was very relaxing. The room was slightly small for what we needed - only 2 drawers for clothes but plenty of hanging space. We would have struggled to stay longer than 2 nights. Bathroom was great. Our room (216) seemed to be very close to a club which didn’t close until 3am. Overall, hotel was nice, would have liked more sleep."

"We are return customers from 3 years ago. Seems as if the property is ran differently than previous. Everything was pretty standard for a 1 night stay. My only complaint was the provided breakfast. We arrived at their breakfast at 7:30am. They started serving at 7am. By 7:30, the staff had alerted us they were mostly out of food which was apparent. No dishes either. I understand they can get busy, but poor planning led to this. All of the guests didn’t walk in from the street. They were booked up, and didn’t plan for the proper amount of food we guess. Besides that, pretty standard stay. But for 200$/night, idk…."

"The shuttle is two blocks from the hotel. Staff were very helpful! Breakfast is good and plentiful (not cheap but no food in Reykjavik is). Clean, and very quiet rooms . Best bed in 3 weeks! Worst disappointment was clouds during the Aurora!"
