The room is very clean and the location is so close to everything. The staff are very helpful and polite. There’s a bar/restaurant on the ground floor and a rooftop bar on level P. There’s also another bar just across the entrance. So on weekends ie it can be a bit busy by the entrance. But the beds are so comfortable and nice. Good amenities but location wise it’s excellent. Close to the beach, supermarket, malls, cafes, restaurants and other food options. Unfortunately pool wasn’t working when we were there but the beach is less than a 2 minute walk

Had a great stay, the ladies at front desk were very accommodating and we got a great room and view. The island rooftop was cute and can’t wait to see what they do with the new pool area. Been coming here for over ten years and never disappoints.

We had an issue with our booking when we arrived which had been reserved for the wrong dates. This was due to a mistake at Expedia's end and not the staff who were really helpful in getting it resolved for us. The location is great, close to local bars/restaurants and localed inside a well maintained gated community which seems very private and quiet at first. Unfortunately the residences at the peninsula overlook a busy roundabout on a main highway which created heavy traffic noise around the clock even with all the windows closed. The apartment was spacious but hadn't been looked after. There was a large brown stain on the living room rug, smaller stains on the sofa and curtains, and visible dust on the shelves in the bathroom. We stayed for 10 days and only received one visit from housekeeping, 2 days before we left. There is a full kitchen with oven but no pots and pans have been provided to cook with. There were also only 2 cups provided for hot drinks.

Great stay at The Island Hotel in Surfers Paradise. Perfect location, comfortable rooms and a really fun, relaxed vibe. Staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was clean and well looked after. Would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone wanting to be right in the heart of Surfers.
