"Very nice hotel, we paid a bit extra and stayed on the 4th floor, a lovely view of the ocean over the tops of nearby buildings, and a very very clean hotel, Michelle and Ashley were the most friendly and helpful registration / front desk attendants I've met, we rented and rode around on the electric bikes, right there next to the front lobby, SO Convenient !!! "Loved the pool, and the views"

"This property is unbelievably lovely. The views are stunning! Antonella and Luccia, the owners, live below and couldn’t be more helpful and kind if they tried. The space is more than comfortable. There were 6 of us in our party and we had more than enough room. There is a beach right below the property with an interesting pathway down. It’s not for small kids or infirm adults. This pathway also leads into town. The town is small but has everything you need. There are some great seafood restaurants and the ferries to the islands leave from there. We visited the island of Giglio, which I highly recommend for a day outing. There were no pool towels provided, which is odd given there is a private pool for your use. We bought 4 pool towels and left them with the owners for future guests as we could not take them with us. Highly recommend this property but make sure that all costs are thoroughly disclosed on the booking. We ran into some issues but the property manger did resolve the issue in the end. I highly recommend before booking that you check what is and isn’t included with this booking so that there are no surprises when you get there. The property manager also arranged for a chef to come and cook us an authentic Italian dinner one night - this was an amazing experience. I recommend having this experience if you can."

"The staff at Castillo Monticello were very helpful. Upon check in, we were given information about beaches and towns and how to get there. The hotel provided transportation to and from the port. We will stay there again."
