"We are so lucky to have found Maison Groleau in Mombrier which was the perfect place for my daughter and I to stay for a couple of nights while preparing for her forthcoming marriage in Bordeaux.The house is absolutely beautiful-decorated and furnished in a very modern,stylish way,set amongst the vines with stunning views everywhere,extremely comfortable bedrooms,delicious freshly prepared breakfasts which changed each day and the option of enjoying a fabulous gourmet dinner at the house on...

"The ‘family’ room has no air conditioning. The upstairs rooms apparently do. We visited during some of the hottest days of the period and were provided one small fan. No inquiry by staff/owners about whether room was tolerable given known high temperatures. The folks that run the place were on property only in morning during our stay, no one on property in evening/night during that period (you call and leave a phone message if you have an issue). Property grounds very run down, surrounding town...
