"We had very good rest and enjoyed the one night stay. Two storey apartment with two bathrooms fits very well for our family. Very comfortable. However you will need a car to reach the hotel. Price is not very cheap, but we redeemed a bonus night from hotels.com. Overall was very good. "

"Room was very spacious and clean. There is little to no phone coverage/internet that works very well but this seems to be a whole of Germany thing. The gardens are lovely and the room had all amenities needed."

"A wonderful stay! The room and bathroom were exceptionally large, spotlessly clean, and very quiet. Check-in and check-out were quick and hassle-free. Highly recommended!"

"Nice roomy apartment with a room to store my bicycle. The food in the restaurant and pub was excellent. The beer they brew on premise was even better."

"The room was clean, but the mini fridge was left unplugged and someone left food in it so it continued to make the room smell horrible. We had to wait a while at the front desk, because the lady was outside and didn’t hear the bell ring multiple times. Didn’t like that the door was a key. So if there’s more than one person staying and someone left and the other stayed, the other was locked in basically. Wish we were able to use the spa but nothing showed how, and waiting at the front desk was a...

"We had an amazing stay at this cozy hotel! Everything was fantastic. A big highlight is the terrace with its beautiful view. We really enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again."

The owner was really welcoming. The rooms are well equipped with a great en-suite. Really quiet location at night. Convenient for the Nurburgring (but well away from the noise). He also provides a track simulator which is fantastic if you wanted to get in some last minute practise. Highly recommend

Was even better than we expected. A modern hotel with a lovely room with a roof top balcony and we were surprised to have it cleaned and staff were great, breakfast was good too. Location is great as very close to the ring.

Excellent place. The room was really big, with a kitchenette and en suite and great views. Breakfast was great, and the whole place is uniquely decorated, in a very cool way!
If you want to go the ring or the Nordeschleife, it is very close, although has a lovely rural setting.
We only stayed one night which is a shame, as we could've stayed much longer!!

Conveniently located for local walking routes. The town has everything you are likely to need.
The staff were very well organised, friendly and welcoming. Rooms are basic but at the standard expected. The attached bar and restaurant is also good.

Three of us shared an apartment for a trip to the Nurburg ring. We had a drive big enough for 3 cars and all of the three bedrooms we're a good size. Fantastic value for money. Will be staying here again.

We were visiting friends close by and found this hotel near to them.
Upon arrival, the reception was very friendly & welcoming.
The room at the rear with a balcony was spotless and fresh.
Breakfast was very substantial and we had evening meals within the hotel, which were good valve for money and very filling.
All the staff were very friendly and welcoming which made our stay (4 nights) very memorable and pleasant.
The village by the hotel was very peaceful and tranquil, we had a walk around...

We had a wonderful stay at Burghaus & Villa Kronenburg. We stayed in the Classic Suite, which was absolutely stunning—beautifully decorated, spacious, spotlessly clean, and full of character. It felt like a real treat after a long day.
The location was perfect for commuting to the Spa-Francorchamps Grand Prix. It was close enough to make travelling to and from the circuit easy, while being far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet away from the crowds.

The best area to stay in Gees is directly within the village itself, particularly around the main street, Hauptstraße.
Gees is a small, quiet village located in the Eifel region, known for its natural beauty and traditional German architecture. Hauptstraße is the central thoroughfare, where you'll find the local church, a few traditional guesthouses, and access to walking trails that lead into the surrounding countryside. The village is compact and easy to navigate on foot.
For couples seeking a peaceful retreat, staying within Gees village is ideal. You'll appreciate the calm surroundings, the opportunity for long walks or cycles through the scenic Eifel landscape, and the chance to experience authentic village life. Many guesthouses in the village offer a personal touch and local hospitality.
Solo travellers looking for a tranquil base to explore the Eifel will also find Gees a good fit. It provides easy access to hiking and cycling routes, and its small size means you're never far from a welcoming local establishment for a meal or drink.
When is the best time to go to Gees?
The best time to visit Gees, Rhineland, Germany, is during the late spring (May to early June) and early autumn (September to early October).
These periods offer pleasant weather, with mild temperatures and less rainfall, making them ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the Eifel region. The spring brings blooming wildflowers, while autumn showcases beautiful foliage. These months also avoid the peak summer crowds, ensuring a more relaxed experience.
For those interested in outdoor activities like hiking or cycling, late spring and early autumn provide comfortable conditions. The trails around Gees, which lead through forests and past volcanic lakes, are particularly enjoyable during these times. It's a great choice for couples or solo travellers looking for an active and scenic getaway.
If you're planning to attend local festivals or events, it's worth checking the specific dates as some occur in the summer months.
