Absolutely beautiful as described. Lots of room for 2 couples to have some privacy while traveling together. Check in easy. Great communication with property contacts. Especially enjoyed porch swing. Would recommend to friends and family.
The Silver Lining is a great place for a family vacation. The furniture and beds are comfortable, the kitchen is updated and has everything you need, and there is plenty of space for everyone. The deck has a gorgeous view of the mountains, too!
The house was beautiful and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. It was disappointing that the lowest level AC did not seem to work as well as it did in the rest of the house, but it still stayed cool enough so that we could stand it. The beds were comfy. The kitchen was nicely equipped. Overall, I would love to stay there again someday
We had an amazing visit. The home was immaculate. Ron and Linda, our host, provided us with everything we needed to know and were just a phone call away. The most fabulous view of The Great Smoky Mountains. Spacious and wonderfully decorated with all the amenities we needed. We were close to all the sights and especially blessed to be near the arts and craft district making our stay most memorable. The Silver Lining is an absolute treasure in the Tennessee mountains and hope it will be available on our next visit to the area. Thank you for making our celebration/vacation week special.

Thanksgiving in the mountains
Great home. Loved the view and the fireplace. Well stocked home with plenty of room for our family of 5.
House was well suited for our stay, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils since we cooked all our food..The mountain views are exceptional. The location is a little ways from town, but manageable.
We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. Amazing views. Well stocked. Could have used a bit more cleaning, but would highly recommend the home to anyone.
Beautiful views from the multiple decks, spacious and everything you could possibly need. Very Clean ! The decor was amazing. The owners response to any questions or concerns was very fast, We had daily visits from multiple bears and cubs. Our family will definitely stay again, I wish I could have loaded pictures but the site would not load
The house was beautiful and spacious with amazing mountain views from the porch! It was such a peaceful escape away from the hustle and bustle of town. Our kids loved the pool table and the two times we ventured to the pool we had it to ourselves. And on our last morning there we were visited by a momma bear & her cub right in the backyard!
The home was just as described and the view met all our expectations, maybe even exceeded. Check-in was easy, home was spotless and plenty of towels which is important with kids. Most of all we were close enough to fun things, but far enough from the all the hustle of the busy towns. Plus we got to see a cub scurry across the road!
My family and I stayed at The Silver Lining. The view was just as advertised. Absolutely beautiful! We loved the home! If we go back up to Gatlinburg, we would definitely stay here again. We had a wonderful time. It's God's country. The beauty took our breath away. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us.
The Cobb's
Great location! Nice cabin but not the cleanest cabin.
The floors were not swept, dusty furniture and quite a few cobwebs.
Mattress was very comfortable and linens were nice. Towels were a good quality as well. Great appliances!
Not as well stocked as many other places we've stayed.
Ron & Linda's home was beautiful. The view from all the porches was exceptional looking out to the Smokies. The bed and bathrooms were laid out perfect. We saw a Bear on Tuesday (10/14) about 6:30pm. The weather was perfect. Lows were in the mid 50's and the highs were in the low 70's. We had blue skies the whole trip as well. The kitchen was perfect for cooking and we cooked on the gas grill twice while we were there. My wife loved the porch swing on the bottom deck and drinking coffee in the mornings on the upper deck was gorgeous. We want to thank them again for sharing their beautiful home with us and we are planning to come back next year at the same time. Also, the cleanliness of the home when we arrived was spot on. We would recommend this home to anyone who wants to spend time decompressing from the city life and spend quality time with their spouse.Rob & Sandra B.
We stayed for Thanksgiving week and were amazed at the view! The views from the livingroom were breathtaking! We saw the most beautiful sunrises and the mountains showed off every day by having a colorful quilt of leaves on the bottom and icy frost on the tops! Needless to say, we took tons of photos right from our rocking chairs on the porches! We even saw a large bear running across the golf course!
Our party included my daughter, son-in-law, and two granddaughters! We not only had our own bedrooms and bathrooms, we had our own floors! My daughter and son-in-law enjoyed having the downstairs to themselves and my granddaughters (ages 9 and 6) thought having the upstairs all to themselves was amazing! My husband and I loved having the main floor master suite, it was perfect! And he used the desk in the master suite sitting area every day!
We all met on the main floor for coffee in the morning and drinks in the evening. We brought our own supplies, but there was a small starter supply of most things you needed. Having a washer and dryer meant we didn't have loads of laundry to do when we arrived home!
The only draw back was the narrow winding road up the mountain, but that is the price you pay for the spectacular views. :-)
The house was perfect! Had everything we needed for a great stay. Loved that the location was close to everything but not in the chaos of Gatlinburg. The drive up is steep, but you get used to it after a few times up and down! Would highly recommend this house for a great trip to the Smoky Mountains!
This home is a lovely space. The 6 of us were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and ready for cooking. The grills were a bit lacking but it was raining so cooking inside was not a huge deal. The bedrooms were spacious and very comfortable. We had plenty of towels for all.The area is super quiet and the view of the mountains is something I look for when renting in this area.Over all I would recommend this home for a nice peaceful getaway.
