This house was absolutely amazing! We had the best trip. Erwin was such a great host and communication was excellent. It was the most beautiful mountain house and was perfect for our large extended family. We loved it so much and hope to go back and stay again one day!
This cabin was absolutely amazing. It was spotless when we arrived and the host was very good at checking in on us to make sure everything was good. Very close to town with amazing views. Lots of space for families.
The house is absolutely gorgeous, pictures does not do it justice, the beds were so so comfortable, the views unbelievable and we got to see a few bears which was what we wanted, one of the best parts was the communication with the owners! They would check in with us to make sure everything was ok to our liking, you just can’t get that anywhere, they really care, I would give this place a 1000/10
The cabin is beautiful, the view is amazing and the drive is not bad at all. Very close to town. We had 19 of us and everybody slept comfortably and complimented the beds and comforters. They were seriously the most comfortable beds. My daughter said they felt like clouds. We will definitely be coming back.
The Bear Paw cabin was perfect! It is a beautiful cabin with great details all around. The beds were very comfortable and clean. Master bathroom is to die for lol. We spent the 4th of July there and was able to see fireworks right from the back deck, saved us from having to go into downtowns traffic. We are from the Midwest (flat land) so the drive up the mountain was a little scary especially at night, but it was doable and only last a couple of minutes.
The cabin is private and we were able to make as much noise as we wanted all night.
We were also visited daily by a bear! The host had already warned us about the bears so we were prepared. The bear was in its own world and never really noticed us despite the fact that we were pretty loud and exited to see it. Really solidified our trip to the smoky mountains.
I couldn’t think of a better way to visit the smoky than the Bear Paw cabin! It was perfect!
We loved the cabin. The view of downtown with the mountains behind it are amazing. We did have a large male bear one afternoon and a mom with 3 cubs another. The cabin itself is an incredible house. It is ready for some small maintenance as almost all are these days. The top rack on the dishwasher has issues, some interior trim work is needed, water pressure is lower when everyone is getting ready at the same time, same with hot water. We did have people in every bedroom using the showers at similar times. Kitchen could use another frying pan and sauce pot; also potholders. The owners/managers communicated very well. Nice people! We would stay again for sure. The place was fun and the entire family enjoyed it. This is an easy $3.5 mil home and you will be impressed by the structure.
The home is beautiful and location is amazing! We could not use half the TV’s, half the a/c’s were not working, the management company has control of thermostats, we went 3 days before the a/c’s were worked on. They turned the heat on the last two nights we were there. Miserable to sleep and unable to control the temperatures ourselves. There is only one hot tub not two as advertised. They have an electric fence around the back yard, which of course our youngest grandchild got shocked. No mention of the fence in the listing. House needs some maintenance and TLC. I would also recommend removing the rugs in the main living area and downstairs gaming area. Major tripping and slipping hazards. Light bulbs need replacing, master bed felt like an earthquake everytime my hubby rolled over. The four rooms upstairs are connected with dilapidated sliding doors. Not much privacy from each other
Our family had a wonderful time at this beautiful cabin in the Smoky Mountains! There was plenty of space for everyone—the hosts have thought of everything! We enjoyed exploring Gatlinburg by day and then coming back to the cabin where there was plenty of space for everyone to relax, play games in the game room or just sit on the deck and enjoy the beautiful views. We also enjoyed making s’mores by the fire pit! Erwin (our host) was extremely communicative and texted us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed! We would definitely love to come back for another visit!
I can’t say enough about this extraordinary cabin. I wish there was a 10* review. Perfect place for a large group. Our Hosts have thought of everything you could possibly need. They kept us informed and made our stay easy. Thank you Hosts for sharing this gorgeous cabin with us.
My family had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property! It was perfect for our entire family which consisted of smaller families with infants/ small children and young adults. The main floor has one huge suite which was perfect for my in laws. The other bedrooms are located on the upper and lower floor. We had the young adults stay on the lower level which was by the pool table, air hockey and golden tee. They loved it! The house had plenty of space and no one felt like they were on top of each other. The hosts were very accommodating to our special requests. We had a nice relaxing stay.
Great property. Very narrow driveway so we had to be careful.
Had to get used to the stepdown to the great room and the rug in the great room needs a pad and was slippery. Routine bulbs need to be replaced
Bear Paw Lodge is spacious and comfortable with many creative and interesting details, and it worked very well for our extended family. The interior photos don’t fully show it, but the main level with entry, kitchen, dining area, and living area are all adjacent to each other so that everyone can see out and see and talk to each other, but the pillars and changes in ceiling/floor height give each area a distinct space so that it doesn’t feel cavernous. The big kids had fun in the downstairs game area, the hotel-style toiletries in each bathroom were well appreciated, the scenery is beautiful and ever-changing (and offers a direct view of July 4th fireworks), all 17 of us could enjoy dining on the deck on the two long picnic tables, and the large number of patio chairs meant the entire group could sit together around the fire pit.I recommend having a vehicle you are comfortable driving on a narrow hillside driveway. We had a minivan in July, and that worked fine because we were familiar with it. Last, don’t forget to follow the owner’s advice for keeping your car locked and the house doors closed - the bears weren’t a problem for us, but it’s not called Bear Paw Lodge for nothing!
