Located in Gatlinburg TN. Five (5) bedroom with five (5) bathroom cabin located 0.4 mile to one of three community pools. Only about 3 miles to the strip downtown Gatlinburg and the GSM National Park, less than a mile to Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort . Five bedroom ALL with private bath, SMART TVs, and NEW MEMORY FOAM MATTRESSES (4 kings and 1 queen). This luxurious cabin has GREAT VIEWS of the Smokies and seasonal views of City lights, in a beautiful wooded setting, complete with the Ober Tram, literally right above you! Two deck levels, 2 HOT TUBs, and a lower level rec-room with pool table. Pet friendly with approval and fee. RULES: Must be at least 25 to book. Additional guest fee over 10 guests No 3rd party bookings. Disclosed pet fee with approval, $500 undisclosed pet fee, $50/hr late check out fee. No one night reservations less then one month in advance, 5 minimum stay during holidays. Cancellation Policy No refunds, travel insurance is offered. $1000 refundable security deposit required. We had the privilege to see the family of black bears passing through and, the next day observed their afternoon siesta. They were amazing to watch from our balcony. Our family will remember this place and the memories we had here for a lifetime. We booked this one last minute as our previously booked cabin fell through. Rental agency was great to work with. Cabin was clean and decently stocked with our needs. Beds were comfy, outside space was decent. It was a little smaller on the common area than I expected but worked out okay for 4 adults, a toddler and a medium size dog. I wouldn't recommend this if you have a dog as there are no flat grassy areas nearby for taking them out. This cabin is directly under the sky tram for Ober but wasn't distributive to us even when outside. View is okay but mostly obscured by trees. About 20 min drive to Gatlinburg down town/Pigeon Forge strip. For mountains roads not too bad to drive. Would stay here again ##### Lauren C. We thoroughly needed and enjoyed Just a Family Lodge. The owner was so accommodating when booking considering our specific situation…we had some medical unknowns we were dealing with. The cabin was clean and smelled nice upon arrival, no complaints whatsoever. The owner wasn’t kidding when she warned about bears though! They are beautiful creatures, but keep your distance! The cabin is in the middle of their game trail and the bears use it daily and we noticed more at dusk/sunset. Momma bears were out with their babies so beware! A few surprised us as we went walking out to our vehicles on multiple occasions, but the last encounter was a little too close for my comfort. We will definitely be back! She was very accommodating to our needs before and during the trip! If you are looking for a great view of the mountains and to see more bears then you can keep up with this is definitely the right location!! Be prepared to see all the bears and to white knuckle your way up and down the mountain! The only reason I did not give this a 5 star was because being dog friendly there really was no where for the dogs to go to the bathroom. We had to walk down the road every time. Which isn’t a big deal we are a very active family. It’s just like I said the bears are everywhere. If I could I would say 4.8 stars out of 5\. At least 10differernt bears showed up including sow with a single cub, another with three cubs and yet another wit two cubs and at least two big ol' boys. The accommodations were really nice and I highly recommend Just A Family Lodge. The road up to the cabin is a little challenging but all blacktop so it was doable. We saw bears almost everyday, including a bear with 3 cubs. All were very pleased with the accommodations. There was parking for our 4 vehicles. The main floor deck was great for gathering and enjoying the beautiful view and the bears that visited below. It is relatively close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The mountain roads are interesting. Very nice kitchen set up. There was hot water for all our many showers:). The refrigerator is roomy and the ice maker was great! The pool table got used for the cabin was clean ad fun times. We didn't try out the hot tubs. The cabin was exactly what we needed for our visit to the park and surrounding towns. ##### Susan H. Zero problems, great view and amnities The pool table was great to have as well as the dual jacuzzi’s. Two things to point out: 1) if you want to venture into the national park, the location is perfect. If you want to spend time in Pigeon Forge, you will have to go through some traffic to get there. 2) the property is pretty far up the mountain, makes for awesome views, but curvy roads (some driveways in the area are very tight, not this one, plenty of room). ##### Dale B. Host is very attentive to needs. Lodge is very cozy and feels like home. Views are spectacular. Easy location to every where including hiking. Only think I would change is I wish people would not thrown trash in the woods. This appears to be a gatlinburg problem with all rental properties. We picked up around the cabin.
