The Kids won't want to leave!!! Our kid friendly home has something to offer everyone!!EXCELLENT views which include beautiful sunrises over Mt. LaConte, the aerial tram, downtown Gatlinburg, a game room with FREE REAL arcade games that will for sure entertain adults and children for hours,located near one of the three Chalet Village community heated pools (open mid-May to mid Sept.),and 1/2 mile from the entrance to Ober Gatlinburg ski area. All of this for a great value!! PLUS, we have PARKING!! We have a parking area that can fit 4-5 cars across and everyone can get out or park a motorcycle trailer!!

Our Chalet is a large A-frame design. It has three levels with a bath on each level. The first level has 2 bedrooms (1Q, 1F), a full bath and a laundry facility (washer and dryer). The main level has 2 bedrooms (2Q's), a full bath, the living/dining room,gas fireplace with sunken living room, kitchen, and decks which surround 2 sides of our home, and the hot tub. The 3rd level has a bedroom (1K ), plus a bed (1F ) on the loft, a bath. The game room is its own room off this level and has couches. Our cabin is close to all the area attractions(Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, Cherokee, National Park entrance and more). It sits on top of Ski Mountain in the Chalet Village neighborhood and our street ends with the boundary to the National Forrest which allows for an occasional visit from wildlife, i.e. 'L'il Smokey', a black bear, that likes to visit our home from time to time in search of their next meal. Even though, we are on top of the mountain, we are still only 3 miles from downtown Gatlinburg and 15 minutes to Pigeon Forge.

We have WIRELESS INTERNET SERVICE, FREE LONG DISTANCE PHONE SERVICE for US & Canada, and digital cable. We have stereo systems, DVD and VHS players and a movie library for your viewing pleasure. We offer a complete kitchen and dishes with a set up for 15.

Our home has something for everyone...entertainment, close to all area attractions, views, the house is located a lot away from your neighbors on all sides, and fun. The word I usually use to describe our home is that is has 'Great Flow' for a group. While the kids are up in the game room, the adults can enjoy a movie or views from the deck.

Update: The Hot Tub was replaced in January 2022, and is working great.

Fun time in the Smoky Mountains

We had a great time at this quaint cabin up in the Smoky Mountains. The kids (ages 7-15) and the adults alike loved the game room. The hot tub was amazing, with beautiful views overlooking the mountains. We didn’t see any actual bears, but we know they were there! I enjoyed my stay.

The place was great for everyone kids and adults the only bad is the driveway is a little tuff to navigate but they all are up there and the place is a little dated but it did not bother us at all great location I would definitely book again

Lovely spring break getaway with family

The hot tub and game room were a big hit with our group. Driveway indeed had plenty of parking and our group of 10 had plenty of space to spend time together for meals or games (or apart for quiet time). The location was convenient to the National Park and the owners were excellent about early communication with clear instructions.

Nice place. A little older home with steap stairs. Still a good stay. Arcade room was fun. Got to see bear and chipmunks around the property. Clean and everything we needed was there. Lots of space.

Great location!

This was our first family vacation in quite a long time. The property was just as the owner said. It was a terrific location. We really enjoyed Ober Village which is super close to this cabin. We got several visits from local bears which we loved. The grandkids LOVED the game room. All in all a super fun vacation and we loved where we stayed.

Fun and great value

Pros: great location, excellent value for size of property, fun family atmosphere with arcade, hot tub, and fireplace. Cons: narrow roads, driveway has steep incline (commom in this mountain area), property is dated but functional, no shower head with king bed room ( tub only) overall great choice for budget minded.

The cabin is in need of some repairs and the cleaning company could do a better job. The game room was a life saver with my grandsons who am I kidding my wife and I enjoyed it as well . The owners were very nice so overall we enjoyed everything would go back

Views were absolutely gorgeous! The price for place was very reasonable for vacationing on a budget. Can be in downtown Gatlinburg in about 10 to 15 minutes! The house was dated and could use some updating but suits your needs. My grandkids loved the game room. You will definitely see some bears!

Smoky vaca

This house met all our needs with enough bedrooms and enough living space to have a really good time. The porches were big and surrounded the house. We enjoyed the hot tub. When we called the owner, he responded immediately.

Accurately advertised cabin in the woods.

Other than minor issues (bear ruining hot tub liner so keeping hot tub clean and bear free was difficult) our family found this house perfectly acceptable and accurate with photos. No special bells and whistles but still a comfortable home base for us all during the week. The adults enjoyed the pool table and the kids really enjoyed the arcade games. Thanks for the hospitality!

Bear Drop inn

The name is perfect!! The bears definitely drop in for a visit. Everyone we spoke with was jealous as we had daily visits from momma and her bears. The game room was a blast. The rides to and from are gorgeous. It also was a savings cooking for the family, rather than the expense of breakfast, lunch and dinner out. It was certainly enjoyable.

Amazing

We chose this property because of the space it had available. It was in the perfect location, close enough to stuff yet secluded. LOTS of bear sightings. The home is a little older but very clean. The only thing that could have been better was more towels and less steep steps in the house. But other then that it was great for our wedding party.

Hughes Family Christmas at Bear Drop Inn

The cabin was perfect for our family in so many ways! Enough room for us all! The game room was non-stop entertainment! The Christmas decorations that was already there combined with what we brought as well was perfect! Steve and Sandy were a joy to work with… so thoughtful and kind! Good accommodation for large groups

Kids were super excited about the game room. The variety of the pool table and games kept them busy for hours. In addition, the common area, which included the kitchen, fireplace pit, dining area and living room provided plenty of space for the entire group. Saw plenty of bears so make sure to lock your vehicles as one did the car doors and help themselves to anything it could find to eat. The owners were very responsive to anything we needed. Unfortunately we didn't have a view due to tree leaves. The house could use some TLC updates. But overall we had a great visit.
