1) TRASH PICKUP
We offer complimentary trash pickup to all guests, regardless of the length of your stay. This helps keep the property clean and prevents overflowing cans from attracting wildlife. Just message us through the booking platform at any point during your stay, and a trusted member of our team will empty the bear-proof containers for you.
2) GUEST AGREEMENT & CANCELLATIONS
After your stay is confirmed, our insurance provider, asks all guests to electronically sign a guest agreement due to lake amenities offered. Our cancellation policy follows the policy of the platform where you booked, as it stood at the time of booking. If you cancel, a processing fee of 3% of the total booking amount (including taxes and platform fees) or $65.00, whichever is greater, will apply, since all payments go through a third-party payment processor. We cover the fees from both sides of the transaction, so this charge is solely to offset those costs.
3) HOUSE RULES & CABIN NOTES
Our family cabin is not pet-friendly and cannot accommodate early check-ins at this time. Parties and large gatherings are not permitted on the premises. Please note that mountain roads are typically narrower than standard rural roads, so allow extra time and drive with care. A long staircase leads down to the water’s edge, giving you easy access to all provided watercraft.
4) TRAVEL INSURANCE & WEATHER
Plans can change in an instant, so we recommend travel insurance to protect your investment. Weather and natural events are beyond our control, and we are unable to offer compensation for them.
5) WATER QUALITY
Like many homes in the area, the cabin uses well water. It has been tested and meets U.S. EPA guidelines. For added peace of mind, we’ve installed a Triton ultraviolet water treatment system with a PENTEK filter and backwashing system. If you still have concerns, we suggest bringing bottled water.
6) WILDLIFE SAFETY
Bears and their cubs are occasionally spotted near the cabin, which sits close to a large body of water and Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Though they may look gentle, bears are wild animals. Please do not touch or approach them, and never feed them, even if they appear hungry. Do not leave food or trash in your vehicle, and keep it locked at all times, as bears have been known to open unlocked doors.
7) CHARCOAL
Because charcoal is in such high demand, we cannot provide or guarantee it for grill use. A bag typically lasts only one or two guests, which makes it cost-prohibitive to supply for every stay. The Instacart app (available on Android and iOS) can deliver charcoal and other household items straight to the cabin.
Located in Gatlinburg, this cabin is near theme parks and on the waterfront. Island at Pigeon Forge and Old Mill are worth checking out if shopping is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Great Smoky Mountains National Park and The Ripken Experience - Pigeon Forge. Travelling with kids? Don't miss Anakeesta and Ober Mountain. Kayaking and snorkelling offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with hiking/biking trails and horse riding nearby. Visit our Gatlinburg travel guide

My family had a wonderful stay at the Mirror Lake Cabin. The property and cabin had everything you could ever ask for. Tom and Shelly were great hosts and made sure we had everything we needed.
Our stay was wonderful! We loved the secluded location on the water! My husband wanted to be on the water and my girls wanted their own rooms. Your place delivered! Everyone loved having their own television and fireplace! Feeding the ducks was fun, too! The cabin was VERY clean which made arriving and settling in so much easier. We appreciated the great communication with the hosts, too. They made sure we had everything we needed during our stay.We have already recommended your place to friends! Thank you for sharing your home with us!
We had a lovely stay at this cabin in the Smoky Mountains near Gatlinburg. The location was quiet and peaceful, offering a true escape into nature while still being convenient to town. The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed, and the real Christmas tree was such a thoughtful touch that made our holiday stay feel extra special. It was the perfect place to relax, enjoy the scenery, and get away from the crowds. We would definitely stay here again.
We had a great stay at the cabin while visiting the mountains. It was the perfect place to get away from the tourist trappings of downtown and relax in a peaceful setting. The owner was very responsive and quick with communications and we would love to return.
We had a wonderful time. Tom, the owner is amazing, he responded quickly and addressed our needs. The lake was absolutely beautiful and my family had fun fishing and exploring. Tom has literally thought of everything!
Our family had a great time! It snowed while we were there so the lake was beautiful! Not a hard drive up the mountain at all. The location was extremely close to everything! Lots of restaurants and shops very close to the house! We would love to book it again in the future!
Great location feels remote but only a few miles from the Arts and crafts community area and Gatlinburg . The owner is very responsive during the entire process. All around a Great experience
Had a great time visiting Gatlinburg, loved staying in our cabin in the mountains. Easy quick drive to gatlinburg or pigeon Forge.Cabin was amazing and as described. Would definitely book again.
Enjoyed all the extras the house had to offer (hot tub, front porch swing, kayaks, and the view). Host is extremely responsive and goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is perfect.
We had a wonderful stay. Very nice and relaxing. Neighborhood was quiet and it was nice to sit and listen to all of the different birds.
Kids enjoyed fishing too!
The cabin was exactly as described and pictured! We really loved the location as it’s super close to the arts & crafts area and both pigeon forge and Gatlinburg were just 15 minutes each way. We were able to catch (and release) numerous brim and one baby catfish in the lake! The owners were communicating entire trip to ensure we had what we needed and on standby if an issue arose. Really appreciated the clean homey feel of the cabin. Great trip and would recommend this cabin to anyone!
The Mirror Lake Lodge has a beautiful view sitting atop a mountain. Easy to get to, and very relaxing place to stay. The kids loved the video game, and the adults loved the prevalence of coffee everywhere! Great communication with Tommy about a small situation but it was fixed immediately.
Nice little place to stay and take a break from all the adventures
We had a nice time kayaking in the lake and fishing- they have life jackets and poles! We weren’t at the cabin a whole lot so it was perfect for the short time to cook, relax, enjoy the view of the lake and relax!
Mirror Lake Lodge is a beautiful cabin with private lake and gorgeous views. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with nights by the cozy fireplace. It was clean and had a well stocked kitchen.
Communication was excellent. Thank you Tom!
Used most aminities! Lake/kayaks/ fishing, hot tub, medium bear got playful in front of cabin and lingered on stairs from lake to cabin! So cute and his appearance was entertaining to 2 yr old. My grandson had a drone and flew it over the lake.
The stay was awesome! The cabin has it all! We fished a day on the lake and caught tons of Bream! Our daughter spent the day in the canoe on the water fishing! The lake/property is just beautiful! The views are fantastic! Grab some groceries and just stay put or take the short drive to the strip of Gatlingburg or pigeon forge! Very convenient location!
Overall, this property was lovely. It was secluded with its own private lake just as described. We did cook a meal, and the fully stocked kitchen was awesome. I really enjoyed that the property was off the main road and in a quieter part of Gatlinburg. We were trying to get somewhere quiet to recharge and it was exactly what we needed. The views and the hot tub were fantastic. Will stay again if we come back to gatlinburg.
Great house, great location, plenty of space, well stocked kitchen. We had a couple minor issues, the owner responded immediately and was able to help us out without any problem. Excellent communication and customer service.
We had a wonderful time here. Plenty of room & a lot of things to do for everyone at cabin. Not far from anything either. We also got to see a Mama Bear & her 3 cubs the day before we left in the driveway. That was really exciting! 🙂

Nice stay
We did not like that the blinds in all the bedrooms were out for cleaning. We were not told that they would be missing and nothing was offered to us for the inconvenience. The property was nice and the location is amazing.
