"We paid extra for a view room. The view was the best thing about our room. The room was very stuffy on arrival. Had to put on the fan straight away. The room looked verdy tired, chipped pain, stains on the curtains. I always strip our beds when we stay away, when i stripped the beds the duvet was heavily stain & the mattress was badly stain aswell. The only thing that was ok was the matress topper. The cleanliness really should be looked at. I came away feeling dirty, im positive i came away with marks from bedmites! This is a shocking standard for a hotel chain Hilton! The ceiling yo floor windows would have been lovely but the just looked dirty, i inderstand this is probably from the sea spray, but made the entrance look very dirty. Staff were pleasent. Breakfast was ok but not that impressed at all. Would not reccomend."

"The pool needed booking a slot. When I tried to go it was fully booked. The reason we chose this hotel was the pool in case my daughter wanted to swim. She couldn't. There is also a charge for the pool even is staying here which I thought was crazy. Nothing going on in the bar and was one of the worst pints I have ever had. Breakfast was mediocre. The location and price were great. "

"Ideally located just off the M65. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Room was clean and tidy with a tea/coffee making facility. Free wi-fi was easily accessible. Pub/restaurant next to the accommodation building had a great selection of beers and a comprehensive menu. Breakfast was served in the pub/restaurant. Great selection from continental to full english."

"The hotel needs extensive updating. Yes probably 100 years ago it was exclusive and upmarket. And yes the Queen and many famous people stayed, But they wouldn’t step foot inside now as it’s so run down. If the hotel had a refurb it would be amazing but unfortunately it’s very dated. The room was like going back in time 50 years ago everything including furniture and TV was so old. It’s not cheap to stay either we could have stayed at Hampton Hilton for cheaper. However on the positive side Breakfast was very nice. Was disappointed had to pay £14 to park vehicle in the hotel car park overnight also."

"The room was so nice and the staff were really friendly. The food was okay but there was only certain times that we could eat as it was included in the property. Car parking is a nightmare and couldn't find a suitable place to park and ended up getting a ticket. "
