Close to metro and police station, so felt safe coming back even at midnight. About 1/2 hour walk to Eiffel Tower. Basic room (beds/table/TV (french channels only, so was not of much use for us)/AC), no coffee machine/refrigerator/safe box, adequate bathroom. Elevator. Nice, very helpful staff, 24-hrs at desk. They did store our luggage till evening the day we moved out , no problems there.
There continental breakfast was very basic and kind of overpriced at 10 euro/person, but there are some options around the hotel - we went to Le Saint Florent brassery near Police station and it was very pleasant service and great breakfest.
Hotel has excellent staff who are friendly and helpful. The decoration is dramatic with the stairway in red and black. Our room was decorated in black and white, very modern and clean. The mini bar in the room as pricey but there are takeaways, next door to buy reasonably priced drinks and fast food. I didn't use the hotel restaurant as their food was not geared to the average child's taste buds. Great for adults. The prices for dinner was on par with other establishments, however breakfast was too pricey.

Ideally located in the middle of the business and entertainment districts, close to eiffel-tower only few minutes by foot …More
A nice little hotel right in the middle of Paris. The room was nice and clean, very small but it was fine. The staff were helpful. So close to all the main attractions, it only took us about 10 minutes to walk to the Eiffel tower and very close to everything you need such as supermarkets, pharmacy, shopping etc... Good hotel in a great location!

this was our first trip outside Canada so we were very inexperienced in booking a hotel room. We were dismayed to discover that the room booked for us was not suitable for a mom and child but instead was ideal for a young man travelling with a backpack ! We asked for an upgrade and were given a nice room, although small. The breakfast was Excellent and the staff at the front desk were GREAT ! So overall we were glad to be there. It was too far from the sights but gave us a chance to see a less touristy part of Paris. We were in need of help to get around the city and that was sort of hit-and-miss. It would have been better if someone had instructed us on the use of the metro rather than our spending so much precious time chasing after buses. And the staff need to be more informed about restaurants in the area and how far away things are from the hotel. BUT all that said, the staff at the Hotel Moderne were lovely and made our stay the best that it could have been !

Charming entirely renovated hotel, the Home Moderne hotel welcomes you in a quiet area of Paris near the exhibition centre …More
The staff were very polite and to the point; the room was very clean; the area was quiet and we were able to sleep easily; the breakfast however was not of a high standard, but on the other one can does not have to pay for it if one does not wish to - and we didn't. The only other possible if for others, but wasn't a problem for us, is that it's a little distance from Paris's main attractions. It is however within a short walking distance of taxis, buses and the metro. I would recommend this hotel.
The hotel room itself was very basic and too hot, particularly at night and in the evenings. However, there were big balcony doors that could be opened, so this helped a little with the heat. The hotel staff were really polite and helpful, this is an ideal hotel if you're looking for a cheap city break especially because of its location, which makes it ideal to visit the main tourist attractions if you're using the metro. With a metro station being so close to the hotel it was often quite noisy at night, but nothing too disturbing. There were plenty of restaurants and shops in the surrounding area of the hotel, so there was always plenty of choice when it came to deciding where to eat.

We arrived quite late due to a glitch in travel arrangements... the on duty staff were very helpful and we were able to take advantage of the honesty bar for a hot drink (although the French idea of a cup of tea is very different to the English). Having emailed a list of preferred room décors, we were given our top choice. The room was small in comparison to US and UK hotel rooms but we had expected this.... it was clean and well presented, plenty of storage for our needs. Downside was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, although there was a mini bar and room service available. Room was cleaned and refreshed daily, working air conditioning and a safe. The breakfast room was quirky and the continental style breakfast was very nice but a bit pricey considering the availability of pastries and fruit from local markets and patisserie. Being off the tourist track it was a challenge to our limited French in the local pharmacy and restaurant were English was not as widely spoken but nevertheless we found the people friendly and welcoming. Some of the recommended eating establishments were closed due to it being the Parisians holiday time. The hotel offered private steam room, although we did not use this.
