Nice boutique hotel walking distance to the Eiffel Tower and across from the Metro for easy access to transportation. Day staff was helpful and friendly, night staff not so much but ok. Small rooms but clean. Near restaurants. Enjoy our stay and would stay again.
My friends and i booked at this hotel for 5 nights. One of them complained aboutthe bathroom( so small that he couldn' t even turn aroud) but my room was spacious so the bathroom .
Overall i liked my stay at this hotel and would turn back if i had the chance to visit Paris again.

The hotel is small and located away from the major tourist attractions but this does not detract from a wonderful stay. The hotel exudes opulence with the individually designed rooms and dining room. The bar relies on an honesty basis with guests making their own cocktails and a range of drinks. The locality is abundant with cafes and restaurants which are more cost effective than those closer to the central attractions. Wonderful friendly staff made the stay even more enjoyable. A great weekend break.

We had some confusion regarding our registration. We booked a room for 3 people. Two adults and a 15 year old.. According to the promo, the child stayed for free. I called and specifically asked the age of a child and was told that my 15 year old could stay for free. When we arrived we were told that only 2 people were registered and we were given a 2 person room. I was then told that I would have to take another room in addition to the one already booked. That 3 could not stay in the room. I then looked at my receipt that I had printed up and it did say that we were only registered for 2 people. I did not check the receipt when I printed it as I was under the assumption that I had registered for 3 people (myself and 2 daughters). I told Yann that I had called and specifically asked about the age for a child and was told that my daughter could stay in the room. Of course, I do not know the name of the person that I spoke to. I was not happy and I was not about to separate myself from my daughters. I still slept in the same room even though I was given a second room to use. Then they moved us to a room that slept 3 for 2 nights (no view) and then moved us back to a twin for the last night (with a view). I was charged an additional $130 euros.
We had a great stay at the Platine! The hotel itself is very funky and fun, devoted to Marilyn Monroe, and very cool looking, with sleek design in the lobby and rooms, and nice touches like light up, color changing showers and tubs. The location is very central, about 3/4 mile from the Eiffel Tower (we very much enjoyed walking along the river to the tower with my parents). The staff is all extremely helpful and friendly. There is a mall across the street and a Monoprix (grocery store) just around the corner. The views aren't anything special, but who goes to Paris to stare out their window, right? All in all, would definitely stay there again and suggest you do too!!
