Peace, quiet, wonderful views and scenery…

What an amazing place! The setting is stunning, with hills, vineyards, and olive groves all around. At night the sky is full of stars (so little light pollution), and it's so peaceful and quiet. There are some great walks in the area too. Otherwise, my room was spacious and comfortable (only slight hesitation is that the mattress wasn't in its first flush of youth), the bathroom was very well equipped (great water pressure), the food and wine was first class, and the service was good too. Had a wonderful stay at the Blue Bay. Hotel is located above its own small private beach. Beach loungers including some floating all free as are the kayaks and pedallos which were fun. Beach is stoney so water shoes a must. Water is crystal clear. Breakfast excellent with a good selection of fresh pastries ,fruit and some savouries. Hotel is family run and the staff are all so friendly. Hotel has a small bar with terrace and view over the beautiful bay and although they dont dont do food will order you a takeaway pizza or other fast food options if you need them. Alternative is a short walk to the hotel overlooking the next bay which does does have a restaurant or a 15-20 minute walk downhill into Cefalu. …Had a wonderful stay at the Blue Bay. Very nice and relatively new hotel, clean and well looked after, staff was friendly and helpful except at breakfast one of the staff (older one) looked always grumpy, tho he did his job. Unfortunately due to Covid rules choices are limited at breakfast and it could take longer but as said, we were happy that there were some rules and staff have acted accordingly. The room was the highlight, ver modern and everything, especially the AC worked great, a small tip, never play with the AC adjustment, it works best like that especially at night, so it wouldn’t get too cold! Splendida piscina …

La struttura si trova molto isolata, immersa nella quiete delle campagne circostanti, lontano dai rumori di strade trafficate, lontano dalle luci dei paesi vicini (ho rivisto quanto fosse bello il cielo stellato); nota negativa, per raggiungerlo occorre percorrere in auto per 15/20 minuti una strada stretta, parecchio dissestata e a tratti anche sterrata. La nostra camera, ampia e comoda richiederebbe una rinfrescata alle pareti e un po' di manutenzione del bagno. La parte migliore, a mio parere, è la piscina, grande, mantenuta bene e molto pulita, dalla quale si gode una meravigliosa vista delle campagne circostanti. Abbiamo cenato lì, avendo tante aspettative, ma alla fine siamo rimasti delusi. Tutto molto gustoso, la pecca era la quantità e la varietà, pochi antipasti, in solo primo portato in un piatto che doveva essere per due persone, ma che era una singola porzione, lo stesso per il secondo con 2 assaggi di carne: visto il prezzo mi sarei aspettato un po' di più. Di solito quando mangio negli agriturismi ne esco sempre più che sazio, questa volta non è stato così. Soggiorno Santo Stefano di camastra …

Una volta arrivata al locale, abbiamo dovuto aspettare 20 minuti, poiché il titolare non era in sede. Nel bagno abbiamo trovato la mensola del lavandino con le viti di supporto non avvitate. Lo stesso per il supporto per la tenda del bagno. Inoltre non è stato possibile pagare con il pos, come da legge dello stato.
