Great location, and decent spot to rest your head.

Posted 19-Sep-2016
Pros: Location! Super close to Eyre square and the shopping areas and pubs.
Cons: Bathrooms are in need of an update, as well as the mattresses.
Location: Centrally located in city centre of Galway. Walking distance from all local attractions, and right next door to a toursim office for booking tours.
The location of the hotel is excellent, but don't stay here if you're looking for a lovely hotel experience. The rooms are dated and worn, the beds were not particularly comfortable and the bathroom had repairs done that were not adequately finished (drywall left unfinished), and the room was definitely not quiet! But if those kinds of things don't matter to you, it's a very decent place to stay. I'd stay here again myself because I'm not interested in the hotel being swanky, i'm more interested in a place to get some rest while i'm close to all the action.

Convenient location

Close to the center of town and the train station. Beds were hard and overall the place needed updating.

Noisy but in the heart of Galway

Posted 19-Jul-2016
Pros: Breakfast was good.
Cons: They need to be clearer about the noise and add insulation since they can't control the street noise.
Location: All the pubs and Galway attractions are right there, so you don't need a car.
We stayed here for two nights and the first night the only way we got sleep was with earplugs. This was even with a room that wasn't on the street side. If you want to be in the heart of things and not drive after your pub visits...this is a good choice. The breakfast was included in our package and was good. You could order both hot food and also get items from the continental buffet. We arrived very late and the hotel staff accommodated us with no problem. They also directed us to the cheapest car park, (at the train station), which is not the one associated with the hotel. We were part of a wedding party and thought we could have been given nicer rooms since we brought them a fair amount of business. This was our most disappointing hotel of our 2 week trip, and I had really been looking forward to it.

Nice hotel in good location

Posted 19-Jul-2016
The hotel is in an amazing location, steps from Galway Ceannt Rail Station and several pubs. With the location however comes a bit of noise as several of the pubs do play live music, however it was not enough to disrupt our sleep or evening.

Great town centre location

Good value. Town centre, easy walking distance of trains and coaches. Some people may find it noisy - close to bars and live music.
