"Great service from friendly and helpful staff, which makes it special. Good location near seafront without being noisy. Room decor not quite to our taste (a bit dated) and the ironwork on the tiny balcony a bit shabby but that did nothing to spoil it for us really. All the important stuff like the service, the food and cleanliness was spot on."

"The hotel is very old and very quaint most of which is nice but could do with updating in most of the hotel. The room is nice with a fridge, microwave and kettle. Daily water bottles were left. The bathroom is really small but clean and tidy. Close to the main strip with shops, food stalls and entertainment and also close to the beach makes this hotel a good choice."

"Great place for families to stay after a day in Southwold. We stayed in one of the family rooms which was the best hotel room we have stayed in with our two children - plenty of space and we didn't feel on top of each other at all. Brilliant breakfast the next day, great choice and lovely FOH lady, who really looked after us and was kind to the children. She arranged for the some cooked items for my toddler then the chef came and asked what crockery would be best for him - we had our own plate which she kindly took and used. Overall brilliant service. We will be back again. "

"The beach n city centre is jus few minutes away.Theatre was in front of hotel.various entertainment games zones was at every few minutes.Good for kids n adults to enjoy.The drawback is that Hotel don't have parking .so you need to pay extra for parking which is 15 pound for 24 hours little bit expensive."

"I use hotels at least once a month for at least the last 8 months (& will be doing for the foreseeable future plus use hotels for holidays. I would highly recommend this hotel, for location, comfort, cleanliness, decoration, furniture, welcome and superb breakfast, the evening meal looked very appealing and a varied menu but as I’d already eaten did not have the evening meal. Definitely book this hotel again"
