"It was a lovely hotel. It was very clean, and the room was great. The sauna and pool area were well maintained, and the staff was kind and helpful. I went to the Italian restaurant just across the street, and they did not accept credit cards (yes, it still happens in rural Germany). At the reception, the manager was kind and gave me 50 euros to get my driver's license back, which I had to leave at the restaurant. I will definitely go back if the chance presents itself. "

"The Hotel is fairly new, the rooms are well designed and the bathroom is just how it should be. Everything was clean and the smell was neutral, which is good. A really good room to get to, after a long day. The staff was friendly, attentive and helpful. They were nice to talk to. There are only 2 things that i would "complain" about: 1. The bed sheet was a bit too rough, so I had to get used to it. A softer cotton sheet would do the trick. 2. The light in the bathroom is a bit too weak. At first I thought it was dimmed, but I could only find the normal switch. For normal use it is ok, but if you want to shave, it is quite hard to see anything. But maybe it was just my room. All in all, I am happy I stayed in this hotel. "

Gemany stop over

"We stayed at the Mercure Ingolstadt over night on the way to Austria. The hotel was very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. Although the restaurant was not open, there is a very good stubl just up the road. The breakfast was very good and plentiful."

"Der Heiderhof is a very classy hotel. Well appointed, beautifully decorated and a very helpful staff. The spa and work-out room were wonderful and the breakfast was excellent. There is not much to do in the immediate area but it is only 10 minutes to the city center and perhaps 20 minutes to all the outdoor activities of the AltMuhl nature preserve. My one disappointment was the bed. It was very hard, the pillow too flat, and the comforter too thick for a summer evening. I did not sleep well at all."
