I took my mother, my two adult daughters and 2 year old grandson on a girl’s trip and the last four days were here in Fredericksburg. The house is absolutely adorable! A newly renovated home I’d guess was built in the 60’s. The backyard was very large and plenty of room for my 2 yo grandson to wander around and ride his bike. You can park your vehicle in the front or the gated back. The interior is spacious and nicely decorated without clutter. The weather was brutally hot while we were there so we did not get to enjoy the back patio as I would have liked. We also arrived with the temperature inside of 84 degrees. After we tried turning down the thermostat and running all the fans and the temp was getting higher, I contacted Joe who replied immediately. He asked that I check the settings and give it a little more time. Upon investigation I found several of the air vents closed completely and several more closed partially. Joe still sent out an HVAC repairman to make sure there wasn’t any other issue. The house finally cooled off that night and we didn’t have any problems after.
The kitchen is very well equipped but be aware they do not have a dishwasher, so bring the kids. Lol! Of course, with as many amazing restaurants around, no need to cook.
The beds were very comfortable and they had lots to entertain guests of all ages. Although it’s not a large home, my grandson kept calling it “The Big House”, so that’s where my title comes from. It was very spacious.
