The house is next to a train track, but only a few came through town at night. Definitely not a dealbreaker when the property is so close to activities in town. We did not have any issue or reason to contact the property owners except to thank them for a wonderful stay! Andy and Elizabeth did a wonderful job remodeling the second floor of their historic 1904 building. We have stayed in a dozen generic mountain properties (all decorated with either a bear or moose theme - there seems to be some sort of law about this), so the Fraser Mercantile was really refreshing. It is very clean, beautifully decorated, spacious, and full of character.
