Very modern and new. Comfortable bed, and good kitchen to make meals. Check in process easy and friendly staff. Only stayed one night but Bairnsdale seemed a very nice town, cafes and restaurants around.
Only disappointment was the lack of a coffee machine which we usually get in a Quest hotel.

A very high standard room in a lovely setting. We had problems communicating and received no check in instructions but this was rectified by a member of staff coming in to sort out. Kangaroos walked past the window and koalas, echidnas and exotic birds were nearby. There was also no wifi near the rooms, just by reception. However it was a very pleasant stay and deserves 5 stars.

Had as problem with gaining access to the property as the reception was not open in spite of check-in supposedly by open from 2-10pm. A message had been sent to my phone but I was unable to access it. Eventually, we found out that the reception at Mariner's Cove was dealing with Captain's Cove: not ideal and very frustrating. A simple note on the reception door sayi8ng go to Mariners Cove would have made the experience much more eniybale.

This place was better than expected. I had requested a two-bedroom accommodation and was fortunate that one was available when we arrived.
Room 10 was lovely — the sofas were extremely comfortable, the décor was beautiful, and the overall space felt very welcoming. We were actually quite sad that we were only staying for one night.
The staff were also wonderful — friendly, helpful and very welcoming throughout our stay.
Overall, a fantastic experience. 10/10. Thank you so much!!

A lovely cabin in the woods. Very clean, everything we needed was there. The bed was very comfortable, the shower and bath were great. There's even clothes washing facilities.
Be sure to pack anti bug spray for yourself, if you go out at night the insects bite.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best area to stay in Forge Creek?
The best area to stay in Forge Creek is generally around the main township for convenient access to amenities and the natural attractions.
This area, particularly along the Princes Highway, offers a selection of accommodation options. It's the central point for exploring the wider Gippsland Lakes region, with easy access to boat ramps and local shops. You'll find the Forge Creek General Store here, which is a local landmark for supplies and a quick bite.
Couples looking for a relaxing retreat will appreciate the options slightly outside the immediate township, often with views over the water or surrounding countryside. These accommodations often provide a more private setting while still being a short drive from local dining and activities like kayaking or fishing on the Gippsland Lakes.

Autumn offers pleasant, mild weather with comfortable temperatures, making it ideal for outdoor activities like exploring the Gippsland Lakes or hiking in the nearby national parks. The landscape often takes on beautiful colours during this season.
Spring also brings agreeable weather, with blooming wildflowers and a refreshing atmosphere. This period is excellent for wildlife spotting and enjoying the region's natural beauty before the peak summer heat.
